Can't you just find the technology to make it digital? or find a way to make the car phone call forward through your cell phone? anything is possible with some research and some soldering. LMAO

Joey, I have an OEM antenna if you want it and tell Big Joe I have that handset for him if he still wants it. My installer tried to take all of my old phone shit out last week but when he did, the steering wheel volume control quit working so he just moved the transceiver out of the trunk pocket & hid it behind the back seat. Unless you know where to look, there's no traces that there was ever one installed.

maybe you can hack it like this: http://www.grooveking.com/blog/2006/...old-brick.html

and just use it instead of bluetooth
I'm not sure how it would get power though. but might be a fun project.

I just got my first legend (2nd gen, 155k miles!) while taking a break from Subarus for a while, Been reading through all the forums looking for tips to keep it running. I also have the factory cell phone, original brochure, and programming manual. It works but just says no service. I'm in a rural area so there is barely digital service out here much less analog but I'll report back next time I'm in a city.

(yes these picts are from my cellphone)

About an hour into buying the car I wondered what the little button behind the volume did, what a scare to suddenly have your new car asking you questions. I tried to get the phone out of the center section but after removing the screws It doesn't want to come out. Any tips on getting it out of there? I'm about to go on a roadtrip and could use a center section, but I don't think it deserves removal by crowbar.

Also, If anyone between cleveland and minneapolis wants parts about three weeks form now make me an offer however I doubt I can offer a full system w/o taking off the steering wheel, headliner, and a bunch more fun. If anyone's interested (or still reading this thread), next time I see a scanner, I can post the programming manual.
