I wouldn't go to any dealership that didn't have a "Kenso" on staff. Don't know why anyone else would go. ;-)

I break about 2 per winter. The bastitches freeze in the cold and then the plastic piece holding the cable snaps off. I filled the little honeycombed area that holds the door cable, up with gorilla glue and glued extra re-enforcement around the outside. The last one that broke had carbon fiber layered on it, so replacing it was not cheap. But, the new one should be bullet proof!
If you look at the pic, see where the cable is hooked to is like hollow honey comb re-enforced plastic? ![]() Breaks there everyfrickin time if your door latch gets jammed by ice or somethin else. Well I filled that whole frickin space with gorilla glue. Should be extra tough now! Oh, yeah, I can change a door handle in like 15 minutes now. ![]()

Hi
|
You are doing the wrong thing. Nobody should take a mint Legend to the dealer.
Most of the mechanics working at dealerships were not even of driving age when the car was in production. To them, the car is old and a beater. Establish a relationship with a good independent that is old enough to have been able to drive the car when it came out. The last time I ever took my Legend to the dealer was when they overfilled it by a whole quart of oil, and as smoke was still pouring out the back even when it was turned off, the service manager said to me, "well, the car is quite old, it is bound to smoke a little." Asshole. |
