I was mugged at the Acura Dealership today!

By the service department technicians!! They stole my wallet and all the money inside. They got me for:

$585.00 - Rear Main Seal and Clutch Seal replacement.
$390.00 - Master Cylinder Replacement
$270.00 - Broken Boot (Pass CV Axle)
________
$1245.00

They were so happy to see me come in today for a $19.98 express Oil Change and Complimentary Car Wash, that they invited me back to mug my azz again next month for:

$160.00 - Rear Brake Pads
$415.00 - Lower Ball Joint (Driver Side - Rear)
________
$575.00

But this time I will be ready for them. I won't let them hit me over the head and take my money like they did this time. I'ma already have my wallet out and open for them!

hahahahahhahaha... i went to the stealer for an oil change a few months back and they were like oh this is wrong and that is wrong. the next time i went another guy looked at it, he said car looks in excellent shape, he even told the service manager about it, who told the sales manager, and they were like if you ever plan to sell your car, make sure you let us know.

WOW! If you would have made the drive up here, I could have saved you a ton of money. It probably would have been worth the trip

rear main seal and clutch seal - $50 parts
Master Cylinder - $130 part
CV axle - $130 part

That's only $310 in parts, I wouldn't have charged more than $500-600 for labor.

You should stay away from the dealer, It's not worth it. Believe me, I work at a stealer

last time i went to the stealership, one of the salesman and a few technicians were stunned at a 5speed Legend sedan. The salesman even made me an offer for the car, but in typical salesman fashion, completely lowballed me on it:p

I just go for my free oil change and they find things wrong. So then I go to my trusty local mechanic and ask him. He's worked my my past two cars and is real honest believe it or not. The only way I go to the dealership now is if I have no time or something. My mechanic took care of my old school BMW and my Benz so I'm not worried that he won;t do a good job.

Dang!
I gotta remember that next time. Yeah, they got my a** this time, and all I wanted was a 19.98 express oil change and complimentary carwash!

I think I will wait on the rest of that stuff until later. I am gonna be doing a full brake job soon anyway......ss lines, rotors, Axxis pads.

Mr.Smith,
Man, it's OK to laugh! I kindda laughed myself because on the way there, I was all excited about using that free coupon to get my car washed, waxed, vacuumed out, and some new oil for only $20. Didn't realize that it was gonna cost me over $1200.........that was an expensive oil change and carwash!

Yeah, well, I took my 87 coupe in for an oil change and left with a 95 that the dealer had parked (strategically) next to the service bays. Wallet? 15k lighter.

the dealership is only good to buy parts from or look in the showroom other than that they are pretty worthless.
