I want to Play PS2 online , What do I need?

I have the PS2. I have a computer that gets Highspeed Internet thru my cable. What else do I need to play with/against others online? ANy recommended games that kick butt online and anyone from the forum want to play some online? By the way I heard the Next VICE CITY is coming out around Xmas of 2005. Its supposed to be 3 times bigger world based in California. I believe it San Fransisco , Los Angeles, and Las Vegas and each city is the size of Vice city. Sounds like a big a$$ game. Cant wait tho I still cant get off the last Vice city. Peace!

to play ps2 online you need the adapter pack for your system which they sell at every video game store for about 50 bucks. i never got one because a lot of times the people online have codes and they end up beating the piss out of you and you think you suck when they are actually cheating, or so i have heard. go to an electronics boutique, or game stop, ot something like that and they should have the adapter you need, good luck!

You will also need a way to hook it into your high speed internet. This usually means running a CAT5 from your tv to your modem. If you do not want to disconnect the computer everytime you want to play you will also need a router to plut both of them into. You would then plug that router into the modem. After the Adapter and router you are looking at the $80-$100 range. Good Luck! and let me know if you need any more advise.
Later!

Ok Im a bit confused here now. I play PS2 on my 56" Big Screen. Then I have a laptop thats hooked up to the high speed internet Via cable. If I want to play PS2 online with other peeps....am I gonna be using my Laptop monitor to play my games (hell no too small) or is there a way I can play online and still Use the Big screen T.V. in my comfy living room? So far the prices you all have mentioned dont seem to bad to me.

The only thing you need to do is buy the PS2 network adapter for about $30... Bring it home and hook it up to the back of your ps2...

Once you do that hook the Ethernet cable that is going into your Laptops Ethernet port into the Ethernet Port on the PS2 network adapter...

Then put in the Network Adaptor Setup Disc.. and set everything to automatic.. and you should be all set...

So to answer your question You play on your Big screen Television, not your PC screen..

I play online on my 52 incher..
