First off i notice on THIS board and BASICALLY THE WHOLE U.S...black females are HIGHLY underrated. dissmissed for their beauty...and i mean those with AFRICAN features. not those sharp european features like Halle Berry and the like.

I like all types, all sizes...most hues. IT'S OUTRAGEOUSLY easy for causcasions to graze over Race as archaic. but right now, i have strong feelings against it for ME...not for anyone else, but for ME....i need someone who can relate to me on a deeper level...if i have a racially spawned incident at the office, i need someone who can basically KNOW from EXPERIENCE what im going through.

and YES it STILL exists, a friend of mine's boss just told another worker that he shouldn't try to go to another company becuase he "..didn't want to work for those 'spooks', those Negroes only look out for their own."

that's where i come from. Race is a bigger deal than most make it out to be...but if you found love there, then have at it...i dont know if i can but im happy for you if you do.

My case about Black women underrated...i just read the post above mine. and there was one before it. People bragging about the different types they dated, you have listed this long line but NOT ONE said they've dated a black female. why is that?

Bang you hit the nail on the head. In general, a dude is going to want a female who he can relate to (and vice versa) after busting his balls at work all day. For me that would be a sista (with the occasional latina/asian lol). Since I'm originally from KS and now in TN, I've seen it all. It's more than just pink inside. It's all about who's gonna be down for you at the end of the day when your broke and your Legend is on the side of the road thanks to a BHG

Also the biggest mistake you can make is trying to beat (have sex) with a female just because she's a different race. Sistas especially can pick up on that, which is why they are least likely to date other cats. With that said, I'd be all up on Vida Guerera (sp?) lol!

and now im currently w/ a white girl.
i have an uncle whose german thats married to my aunt.
my family has no problem w/ it.

Knarf, you got a good a$$ point. But I ain't tryin to be with some chic just to beat. That's not my number one priority. It maybe for a lot of other kats who just worried about an itch in their pants. But to me, it's other stuff to worry about.

The #1 thing I hate the most is assumptions. I wouldn't want anyone assuming I'm with another woman from another race just for some sex. That ain't my steez and that's not the way I get down. I get heated when people start assuming.

I've never done the interracial thing, but I dont see the problem with interracial dating. If it makes you happy, then you shouldnt care what everyone else thinks. MAN! I just had this conversation at one of the Black Student Union meetings up at my college. (Guilford College in Greensboro, NC). I don't see why you apoligized to me in advance, unless there was something about my post that got to you (I'm guessing not because you didn't quote me).

I don't disagree with anyone's choice about who they date, whether it be strictly their own race/culture, or anyone. I agree that there are often cultural differences that would compell a person to limit their selection to only certain groups of people, which as B&O said, sometimes you just need to be able to relate on a deeper level. Everyone is doing their thing, and everyone is happy with it. Nothin' wrong with that

I have no problems with Interracial dating, it's all good to me as long as we have something in common/interests.

Top of my list is she's gotta love Asian food. I remembered dating this Caucasian girl, we had alot of good time and all but, when it came down to eating we were miles apart, she just wasn't down with Asian food...Viet, Chinese, Thai, Japanese...That in my book was a "No-No," so she had to go.

I have to give her credit though for trying some authentic Dim Sum.

yeah I know where that is and yes, A&T does have some fine chicks. I seen some at the Kanye West concert. I already got what I'm looking for and not on the market for anything else

There is nothing wrong with interracial dating to me but there are so many people out there who think its wrong and look down on them (they stare and stare...). I am indian and have been with my gf who is white for more than 5 years. In the begining I was unsure about this whole interracial dating thing but the way things are now between her and I, I am glad that I am with her. After being part of this I realized that it shouldnt come down to race but personality and being with some one who you are content and in love with.
