If we all mixed up I think we would look like Filipinos/Polynesian.

Why? I may have my cultural history wrong but the P.I. has had moors,chinese,japanese,whites, indians (asian) all drop in for a spell.

This may not be with the topic but just wondering why blacks always use their race/color as the reason for almost everything bad happens to them. For example, if they weren't hired or got fired in their job. I always hear them says that the world has a problem on them for being black. They always have bs on discrimination against to their color, but from my observation, I noticed that most blacks hires their own color (most of the time). Just check out MTV and watch those rap music, you'll barely see any other race other than black. I know a black manager who fired (actually laid-off) a caucasian instead of the black one who is always late and does a poor job. If you watch comedies where a black person is on stage, they are have this bs on color variation. How come they think that the world outside them is racist while in reality, they are more racist? I'm not white or black but quite curious on what afri-amer people thinks. I dated amernians, filipinas, japanese, whites, and latinas and they do have the same comment.

not even going to touch that one, but using history as an example every people that has suffered through a period of enforced bondage has carried some residual stigma.

i know i shouldn't touch it but....Blitz....what you THINK you know is all you've seen on TV what you think this world doesn't do, is what you only know in your small neck of the woods or haven't had to deal with it.

If you are ever passed over for a Job when someone else of a different color with the same experience and degrees as you gets hired, then you can finally understand.

Im so sick of this bash-blacks for sometimes harping on something the whole UNITED STATES wants to believe is gone but knows is still there and doesn't want to do anything about it. The most hypocritical thing people can do is make comments as "why do blacks pull out racism" Why? Because it's something eveyrone knows is still here.

i said earlier that my friends Manager told another caucasian man that he shouldn't go work for another company cause "...those 'spooks' (a racial slur just like coon and nigger) only look out for themselves"

i WISH someone would tell me that racism doesn't exist...i have been to the state capitol of North Carolina in the Legislative building. in The school i go to in North Carolina is a Land grant school. the School is supposed to get a set amount from the government equalling that of another Land grant school with is predominantly white...please explain to me why we have to, got damn, go up to the Capitol to let the government for NOT MAKING THE FUNDING EQUAL!

not only that...when i went i had cornrows in my hair. a friend i was with had Dreadlocks, and the Thrid just had a caesar (it's a hair cut style...same hieght all around very short)....they basically only looked at the man with the short hair...the Delegate for my county? she wouldn't even shake my hand.

Why do blacks say some of the things they do? It's because the rest of the world wants to forget that they still are being treated like sh*t.

Hahaha that may actually be true, but we're still mostly Malay. Every filipino has impurities and my next higher impurity is Hawaiian, which looks sorta filipino anyways

I personally have no problem with multiracial relationships either. All my long relationships have been with girls who are NOT filipino ~ a Korean girl, and my Japanese best friend. I find my older relatives are really iffy about my choices (ie my grandfather ~ you know they used to rape our women? etc. etc.) but really that's history and as proud as I am about my culture, I don't let that influence my choices in love now.

If the girl is my type, I go for her.

Your first question. Is a general dumb question. On what terms some one gets fired can very well suggest discrimintation.(being late, not producing, or other faults aside). As far as blacks hiring their own color. That is just like asians who hire their same people. Ex. All you can eat chinese buffet..where are the black and white people?
People hire people who they are more comfortable with and who they can trust. you can not just look at the color that they hire. But what is wrong is to hire somone souly on the color of their skin.

You should'nt let television encourage your thoughts on what goes on in real life. Do you think every person of oriental decent knows karate? Do you feel that every black person is a thug or drug dealer? Cause I damn sure don't have the balls to be drug dealer and I'm too soft to be a thug. The media can cause so many stereotypes. Which is a major downfall of what this society thinks of other individuals. I hate to say it, but it sounds like the media has pulled you into this state of mind where what you see is what you believe. Try to get away from that.

Blitz, I'm completely stunned that you would take 10 minutes out of your life to write an ignorant, grammatically incoherent statement. I won't even begin to go into detail about how your post had nothing to do with the topic and how much you have insulted the members of this forum. Not only did you reveal your ignorance to the entire Legend community, you also proved that you have to experience the real world beyond the reach of cable tv and the internet.

I find it funny that you would list the nationalities of the various women you have dated as if this somehow entitles you to a membership of the NAACP (which represents more than just black folks). Did you find it convenient to forget the stereotypes placed upon latinos, japanese, and south asians or did it not matter to you? Obviously you have never befriended or been befriended by a black man or woman or you would realize that very few of us live or act in the manner/lifestyle of a rapper on MTV or BET. Instead of wasting the few brain impulses you have left on ficticious tv shows, maybe you should go outside of your dorm room/parent's house and educate yourself.

The reason black folks in this country speak of racism is due to people like you who believe there is no such thing as discrimination, debt, and disenfranchisement. I noticed that you purposely failed to disclose your ethnicity other than to say you were not black or white. It makes me wonder if you have ever knowingly or unknowingly benefitted from the programs that make it easier for ethnic minorities to exist in this country. In the grave event that you were actually admitted to a public university, it is my hope that you will eventually meet a black person that can dispel the myths of MTV and BET.

Blitz, what you and the rest of us need to understand is that we are now in the 21st century and we must move on beyond the petty stereotypes of the past and on tv. For all of us, the only color that should matter is the color of green...$$$.
