does anyone know how i could search somebodies license plate number? in canada. long story short i was robbed, and i would rather talk to the guy before going to the police.

Why even bother trying to talk to someone who robbed you? That has bad new written all over it.

I assume the Provincial laws would be the same as the state laws here, which range from no public access to access limited to qualified, bonded companies. Either way, unless you can find someone that is willing to put their job on the line for you, you are out probably of luck. But your best bet is to see if a Private Investigator can do something for you.

Or perhaps his intent is to do less "talking" and more knee cap bashing with a T-ball bat, and just didn't want to say, "Hey how do I find a guy who robbed me with his license plate number so I can put him in a coma or cripple him for the rest of his life" on the forum.
