I have a good wealth of car knowledge so I'll apply for General position. I dont mind doing it publicly either. I am not a mechanic, I have not done engine swaps but I am a walking advice column.....for all those don't like my qualifications......NADS!! I'm just trying to help.

Okay.... my lifters are ticking, what are my two solutions besides replacement?

Depending on vehicle solutions would be

1. Small amount of transmission oil in crankcase, drive around under 3000 rpm for about 30-40 minutes then oil change

2. Marvel Mystery Oil treatment

3. Use a thicker oil depending on climate and of course engine

4. Seafoam to remove any deposits that may be cause said "stick"

maybe some more, but that's of the top of my head.

Well I haven't been around long, but I have been lurking around. I used to own a legend as well as a number of cars in the past. I am getting at getting info for alot of things since I work in an office. All the things that you request are not hard to do, just time intensive.
