san antonio can go to...

you gotta be kidding me. don't worry lakers will pull through. just watch

good luck to dallas though.....i don't really want to see the lakers play the kings. though i would like it for atleast a california team to win the whole thing, because god knows no east coast team is gonna win the championship

:p

Lakers will make it interesting, but the spurs will take them in Six.

Quote me on that one

I say Spurs win. Spurs beat them 4-0 in reg season. That shows they can beat the Lakers. The Timberwolves had a good shot too

Regular season means absolutely nothing right now. To be fair, I think this year's Spurs team is a lot stronger and it will be a definite challenge for the Lakers, especially with the injuries to George and Fox. It's gonna be very interesting, but I stand by what I've been saying all along which is no team can beat the Lakers in a 7-game series...I hope.

I'm a huge Laker fan. Since, Worthy,Magic,Scott,Rambis,Riley, etc.. , but its going to be tough sine Fox and George are both hurt.

Ok, I'll quote you..

Lakers take the series in either 6 or 7. You can quote me on that as well

Im going bold, I say Spurs in 4. They got LA scared, and will be up 2-0 after tonight. Believe it!

Are you serious? I really doubt the Lakers are scared right now and for the Spurs' sake, I hope they're not thinking that way either. Because that can easily lead to overconfidence and the Lakers will jump all over that. On the same note, Minnesota thought that they were inside the Lakers' heads after they went up 2-1...look where that got them.

Minnesotta has NEVER proved themselves as a legit contender, everyone know they're 1 and done in the playoffs every year...

San Antonio isn't over confident, they're taking it one game at a time; they're professional athletes I doubt they get carried away like us fans do...

As for LA not being scared? Did you see the press conference at the end of the game? No respect no congrats nothing, just crying about all the fouls and tough play-The Spurs also beat LA 4 times this year, the regular season doesn't matter but beating any NBA team FOUR times in any given year is incredibly telling to the future.

All of these reasons is why I say Spurs in 4. LA is hobbled with injuries and aside from Shaq and Kobe, no one on that team is playing at a championship level...

``The difference was the foul shots. They had 35 attempts to our 12. That's ridiculous in a ball game this hotly contested,'' Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. ``Tim Duncan had more than my whole ball team. I know it was an MVP night for him, but that's ridiculous.''

LA in five, because they only lost by 5 points, with two players out. while the spurs are completely healthy.

I understand what you're trying to say but the Wolves are a much improved team this year than before and the past really has nothing to do with their capabilities this year. If you're gonna let the past dictate how a team performs now, you've gotta believe that the Spurs will be bowing out soon considering the Lakers wiped them the past 2 years.

I never said that they were overconfident. What I was saying was that if the Spurs start thinking the Lakers are scared of them (as you had stated), they run the risk of taking the lakers too lightly and are only digging a hole for themselves.

Can you honestly tell me that Kobe wasn't getting hacked just about every time he went up for a shot? If you didn't see that, you need to look at replay of the game. Also everyone knows that the playoffs are a whole new season. As an example, take a look at Phoenix. They beat the Spurs 3-1 this season, but that meant nothing in the playoffs because now is the time when truly good teams take it to the next level.

I can't argue with you about the Lakers being injured. The Spurs are definitely gonna give them a run for their money and the Lakers are facing a lot more challenges this year than they did previously. But hey, this is when we'll see how much championship heart they have...should be fun. I love this game!

Well, we're up 60 to 43 right now at the half. Let's just hope it stays that way...the Lakers need to be knocked off their pedistal...let's just hope we can do it

I wish the refs would just let the teams play without having to call all these silly fouls. I swear, I don't see half the stuff that they're calling.
