Who Paintballs?

I used to play a lot a few years ago, then I sold my gun and everything else. Now my friends and I are starting to want to play again. When I last played, only Angels and top notch guns were electronic. Everything has changed.

Who paintballs so we can chat?
What are good guns and bad guns? etc.

I dont know if I am going to get a WPG or a SystemX, or just stick with a lower end gun like a Spyder/M3/PMI. I definitely want electronic, but dont know what to get.

I probably want to go with a lower model @ around $250 or so. Give me some insight.

I do not think electronic trigger is right, it take the seriousness out of the game, we have kids that come to the fields, using their parent's money, and goes through 2 cases of balls in a day, flood the field with their paint, then come back and brag that they got 2 guys out. I don't see much strategy of hiding and sneaking up on people anymore, these kids are too pump up on speedball that they see on TV, where the faster you shoot, the higher chance you hit someone. If that was the idea, then we should all might as well play with firehose that shoot paint.

Yes I totally agree, but thats just how the game is now, I remember back in the days when I played (5-6) years ago there would be guys going out w/pumps and could take out a whole bunch of guy's w/semi's... now its just spray and pray....

Yes, when I was 13-14 I was actually good enough to join a team. We played arena most of the time, but still lots of scenario. Only electronic guns were the angels and the $1000+ guns.

MY spyder shutter was pretty nice at that time.
I went to the Paintballing Competition in Huntington Beach, Ca and it was unbelievable. WPG had a contest going. THey had guns hooked up to a computer and the person who had the fastest fingers recieved a free autococker. I watched a guy shoot with the quickness of 19bps!!!! With a semi-auto. Now tell me that is skill and tell me how u can say semi auto is different than auto now adays.

Wow times have changed. I cant wait to start up again.

geat sport, but horrible press coverage. i came VERY close to opening a field here, but i dont think the general public is ready for it at the scale that i was wanting to do . When it is on espn THEN you know its big. I love indoor play-- very exhilerating. But also an expensive sport. I went and played indoor over the christmas break and i still have a mark on my thigh where i got shot from 3 feet away... closed paint rule wasnt enforced and i got slammed w/ a semi-frozen ball. some people suck!! just a few thoughts from my side...
