Wild Long Weekend..... Must See Pics

Well, the past long weekend was quite the time. I went to a friends cabin again in BC there...... a nice windy drive through the mountains with the 6 speed. When I got out there, we had the whole cabin to ourselves, my girl from Denmark was there again.......we partied all weekend and enjoyed the relaxing surroundings. So all in all it was a great weekend... in short, got laid, got drunk, went golfing, relaxed, had fun driving through the mountains again.....

So Monday comes and we are driving back to Calgary in the super-busy typical long weekend traffic. WE stopped in a small town for a rest and ended up picking these chicks up who were on their way to Calgary to "get drunk and find guys..." (total whores:p )... anyways, we a get back on the road and start driving again flowing with the traffic and we pass a speed trap going the speed with a huge group of traffic. So we are just cruzin' at about 100 km/h on a busy, windy 2 LANE ROAD with the tunes cranked up enjoyingh the drive through the mountains. All of a sudden, a Red Nissan 300 ZX FLIES BY ME on the SHOULDER of the road on a turn at about 180 km/h (~120mph)!!!!!!!!!! .

It scared the piss out of me and everyone else on the road.... he was fishtailing down the shoulder as he passed about 30 cars instantly. WE thought he bailed...... well, 3 mintues later the cops came by sirens blaring, and 1 minute after that traffic came to a dead stop.... we all knew something terrible had happened.....

ACCIDENT PICS

Go there for the pics. The first two are from the front door of my friends cabin looking out on to Mable Lake. The 3rd pic, look at the sign on the diner... just something I thought I would shoot cuz I was in the legend....

Back to the accident, this is what happened. The driver of the car blew the speed trap and tried to out run the cops.... they radioed ahead and got a unit to lay down a spike belt. The driver swerved to avoid the spike belt, lost control, side swiped an explorer and did a head on right into a 1 ton truck with a camper on it that was parked (the cops stopped the traffic becasue of the spikebelt...luckily he was not moving). His car instantly split into 2 peices and he was tossed from the vehicle. Miraculously THe family in the truck just suffered from whiplash. The driver of the 300zx ended up in hospital with critical injuries.

For the pics, you can see the front part of the accident, and the two halves of the car. The main part of the car was about 300 yards from the truck on one side of the road, and the other mangled peice was 100 yards from the truck on the other side of the road. After I stepped out of the cop car after filing my police report, there was buddies shoe from the 300zx..... ten yards again and there was his other shoe. The damage was incrediable.... I have never seen devestaion like that. The family in the truck watched the car drive straight into them at over 100mph. The car flipped right over the truck and trailor. We waited there for 2 hours while everything was detailed and cleaned up and then we were finally on the road again.... defenitaly made the top stories and front pages of all the news sources..... very sad to see for sure. I still cannot beleive the driver of that car had the ignorance and sheer stupidity to drive so dangerously and put so many lives in danger. People 50 cars back were saying that he was passing on the shoulder around turns, weaving in and out over the double yellow lines and the whole nine....

Drive safe out there people and dont let that be you....

That's awesome!!!

That was one crazy weekend! But you're missing some pictures...
Where's the pictures of the girl you slammed???

I'm just playing...

You should be a news reporter... Looks like you got that story under wrap. Any least no one was hurt seriously except the moron who tried to outrun the cops... Oh well, that's life.

Leon..... BC is so beautiful. I am now of the addicted bunch who fiends to go there every long weekend. The scenery out there would blow your mind..... I had more pics but had to erase them to take pics of the accident. And as for outrunning the radio, I know... pretty hurtin. You may have a fast car but you can never outrun a cops radio. They had the plane on him too.... What in this world was he thinking.

Sage..... LOL... go back to the album. The pic is there at the end. It is pretty dark and its kind of a bad picture but shes really hot. I found her in the cabin @ 8:00 saturday morning with this other blonde making pancakes and bacon for me and the boys before we went golfing that day..... ahhhh...... gotta love it.....

I took those with my digital. We had 2 hours to walk around the accident scene so I figured I might as well snap some pics. Cops were giving me crap too but I told them I had filled out a ploice report and they seemed cool that I was round the scene.

We were on the wrong side of the highway.... sorry man.

Steve...

I cringe everytime I see a 300zx now ...... especially if it is red. He got what was coming to him and hopefully he will pay with jail time for what he did. The family in the truck was very spooked though..... they all suffered from minor whiplash and shock of course. The mom was the worst off...... she was on a stretcher for quite a while. Luckily they were parked on the side of the road and not moving. THe cop that layed the spike belt felt really bad and he was also really distraught thinking that he almost caused a whole fmaily to be killed.

Damn! I feel sorry for the family. Imagine if it were ur loved ones in the truck!! I also dont think that the spikes on a speeding vehicles work. You might as well set a nice fat ramp in front of the fellow and watch him fly.

I know..... many people were outraged that the cop used a spike belt on a vehicle at such high speeds. I was talking to a a guy whose car was 2 cars infront of the truck. It was a little ford contour. He told that he had originally stopped where the truck was but was like "There is no way I am going to stop this close to the spike belt with someone flying down the road at highway speeds" ..... so he moved up. So did all the cars behind him and the truck took his place. That 300zx would have driven right through the contour like it was a pile of leaves..... he also had his family with him.
