Ehhh not really...:
Quote:
The Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Which was established before the concept of a federal American military, so the militia would've been all American men.
Now that we have a military, the amendment becomes outdated as the force securing the "free State" (American) is not the population as a whole, but merely the military.

That's a fair interpretation of the word, but keep in mind the word of the law must always be balanced against the spirit of the law. That's why the supreme court is supposed to be comprised of a varying mix of strict constructionists and loose constructionists. Interpretation can manipulate anything.

well, the point of the amendment was to keep others (like red coats over in the mother land) from taking over your house. and you had a way to protect yourself in case something similar happened. that is why it was created.

at least, thats what my U.S. history teacher told me.

If you're in Norway, why so concerned with the rights we Americans enjoy here? Why do I own guns? Because I can, to be honest. I wouldn't have it any other way. I suppose if you've never had the rights we have, it might seem a bit strange.

Remington 12-gauge

Mosin 7.62, I got a C cell battery at 20 yards with this thing, first shot. Cool gun, way more accurate than it should be for the price.

'97 Maxima. Thing is quite a piece.

Shooting my G22 with Rayban eye protection... the only gun that's actually mine.

I want a 1911 like no other though, and my buddy just got a Springfield XD compact .40 cal...

Glocks really aren't appealing to me (although I've never shot one) except for the ported models, and really then only for the novelty/cool factor.

Sorry, you are so wrong the supreme court has ruled otherwise. But that is what the gun snatching liberals and the media want you to believe. Good job being misinformed and passing it along, disinformation rules the sheeple, ftw . May the zombies feast on your addled brain.

And sorry but your teacher was either liberal stupid or both cause thats not what the second amendment is all about. That's more the reason why organized militias were created but not the second amendment. So sad you smart young people are so misinformed or uninformed.

The United States of America came to be out of the armed revolt of British colonialists against their own government. When the new government was founded the founders (the people who just fought off their British rulers) wanted you the American people to posses always the power to control (voting and 1st Amend.) and if necessary revolt against and remake our own government (2nd Amend.) Think I'm wrong show me a constitutional scholar that says otherwise!?

You can hand that e-cookie right to me. That is one nice P38, especially one for a war trophy.

I've never shot one, but I've handled a few. Very well-balanced pistols. Your girl's dad got a real, real nice find.
