he was asking 7200, and would only go low as 6900

the car seems to be in good condition

the interior is a little dirty, but the egine is nice and quiet, nothing wrong with it

the bumper issue, he went to like some mechanic plac and when they were raising the car up, they made the mistake and the bumper hit something

and the two diff color's, it doesnt seem to be very different, but i do see it a tad different

the sun roof is cracked

missing cig lighter thing, he doesnt smoke, thats good, leather in good condition, except the passenger side, which is aiight wit me

so do you think i should buy it for 6900?

I paid $6000 for mine in Denver in 11/03, but mine had higher mileage (147K) but EVERY service record and was meticulously maintained. Mine also needed new leather (which it now has) and a windshield. Mine drives like a dream - much more solid, steady, and powerful than my wife's '94 sedan with 40K less miles.

Anyways, the price ought to be somewhere in the low $6K's, but $6900 is probably too high. Does he have service records for the TB? If he has lots of service records, I could probably justify pretty close to $6,900.. otherwise low $6K's... $6400 or so.

I would offer $6000 and go from there. But it's hard to say about the paint not matching and other odds and ends without seeing the car in person. I'm not one to talk though, I paid "too much" for mine, but what is too much is subjective. As long as your happy and don't get really screwed over, I don't really see a loss. Good luck.

Didn't the carfax report say it had failed emissions back in 02'? If the car smokes that bad, do you want to spend 6,000 on it? Take it to the mechanic or buy a kit to check for blow gaskets or such as that.

Don't know about others people experiences but after I bought mine, I contacted the local dealer where the PO had the car serviced and they would not release any records due to the privacy issue.

My Acura Dealer released all the records for my RL last week...so it must just depend on the dealer.

I doubt he is still looking at this car...the thread is 3 months old.

Ok

yo a car can be worked on and not reported. If they dont go through insurance then there are no records. CASH pay even CREDIT. The colors are different so watch out. Either the door and fender were hit and redone or just the rear quarter panel. Now this doesnt mean that the car is not a good buy. If it was cosmetic damaghe with no frame damage u are good but its your chance to take. Also check the lines of the car the spaces between the cracks on both sides. If one side is bigger than the other than there is a accident. I just hit a guard rail and tore up mu whole passenger side of the car but its only cosmetic so i aint worried. I get car back tomorrow. Good Luck.
