I think that's the ALB inspection checker connector.

For the Coupes it's on the driver's side in the back corner looking into the trunk under the trunk felt. And yes....you'd plug a ALB system checker into that plug.

thanks ikeray I always wondered what that was for I figured it was the plug for power seat.

Do L models have a plug for power seats?

I've seen/heard in other posts that the plug is under the rug there somewhere.

I'm not sure. You'd have to take the door trim apart. There's a main door wiring harness where the power controls plug into: the power windows, side door trim light, door locks....I'd see if there's an empty plug there for that option.

no, the wire has a label on it that clearly says "alb tester ONLY". the ecu in the trunk i dont think you can get a code out of it. you HAVE to use the connection cable from under the seat. if it is the same as in the accord though, you can "jump" the connector by putting a paperclip into both sides and then watch the alb light flash to get your codes.

uhhh not me....
only thing i have to do is turn the ignition on( engine off) and get the code from the led.

what that more than likely does is cycle the abs to bleed the system....
btw i don't have the cover thingy...was it just a cover...or was it wirethat jumps all of the connectors???

I've got an '89 L, and I have memory settings for the driver's side. I'm willing to bet it was an option.
