Because it dries too quickly. The label will say "lasts a day" but in SoCal sun, it'll last a day or two at most. Besides, it can look kinda gaudy if the whole car is not in nice shape y'know?
nice to use once-in-a-while though.

- I was a bit rushed for time so unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity for group shots. "btw.. wanna trade rims for a while? i've always liked the 7 spoke CL rimsbetter vs the ones i have, although sometimes they tend to look a bit smaller for some reason" Hehe... NO!!! Actually you'd have to stand in line for that. "and i gotta ask, how come u cali G1 guys don't use tire shine? u both cleaned up ur cars so nicely but ur tires are all dull" I do sometimes but I just got done driving from SF to SD. Wasn't that serious. And sometimes it does dry too quick. |

hey i was just reading on autopia.com forums and i found out that a lot of people are fed up with tire shines that only last a couple days at most.. it seems you've just been using the wrong brands
meguiar's endurance tire shine seems to be a very popular shine on the forums, and people say it lasts a good week - week and a half. no one mentioned duragloss, because hardly anyone had tried it, but i swear it lasts even longer than meguiars.. i've used other tires shines that appear to be 100% gone after like a week, and it just seems strange because my duragloss will last like 3 weeks although it'll get dust on it making it just look greasy. last night i washed my car for first time in a couple weeks and i only degreased my tires once to get my old shine off, and this morning i noticed that there was still some on there.. shows how good it holds up. rain hardly does anything to it just thought i'd share that with you guys who feel you can't use tire shine because 1 or 2 brands didn't work out
