The car came with all those bump guards around the door and
wheel well. Awful looking. You can see it on the first picture.

Yeah, you're talking about the fenderwell trim.... mine has that too, but I just painted it the same color as the body and now it doesn't look bad, but I would still like to remove it.... How'd you do this, and did it leave behind anything or damage the paint at all?

No goo left... but there was a LOT of caked on dirt. Just push in
towards the car and it should slide right off. I had to remove mine
to roll the fenders. If yours are painted then I might just leave em
on. Especially if they painted em on the car.
