Hood installed, v1. Fitment issues need to be addressed

need a little bitty wrench to remove the hood struts, not sure what to do about the little cap in the grill area. Anyway, enjoy...

is that the original hood just painted over as a two tone?
that hood is sweet i was thinkin of doin a style like that black and the oem color but its gettin redundant with the black and another color by my side of town... but black and that white on your car is beautiful i still might do it i just need ideas but this is picture perfect if i ever want to get my car painted white... i just might do that!

Thanks everyone! After hanging out with Keith several times I decided I could no longer play second string to his coupe. I've been working on that for a while.

It's a CF hood I just bought, yes, type 2 1995 LS 6 speed coupe!

See my other threads here and there for interior shots, etc.

Hey Aaron, how's the length on that hood? Meaning, can you see a lot of the top of your JDM's? My hood seemed to be about 3/4" too short, which caused the gap between the bumper and grill that you seem to have, and also showed about .5" of the tops of the headlights. I had to pick up some CF eyelids () to cover that gap up!

They are just pins right now. I don't know enough to know the brand. At some point I want to get the flush mount locking ones that Brian has.

I will answer all questions about fitment AFTER I get the struts removed (need a small wrench, autozone here I come) and one bolt redone. So far looks pretty good. The gap I have is in the grill itself - the hole is a little too large so there is a small gap towards the driver side. ergh.

More to come later.

soooo, after working with the hood for a couple of hours, the make and fit are no good. Gonna return it. I don't consider it a wasted experience though, because I found that I really do like the cf hood, even unpainted.

Perhaps that means I will spend the 'big bucks' and get the VIS one later on. I don't know yet. Pics:
