and i thought it sucked here. cars all iced up this morning here, but not as bad as that. My mom drove 5 blocks with ice covering her windshield before it melted because my dad tried to deice it by hosing the car off. The excess water froze back up in 15 mins.

Yall getting a taste of that the north to mid eastern states get during the winter, fun driving in the snow long as you know how to drive in it. I used to pour rubbing alcohol over the ice when mines would freeze up like that on the windows.

And Sergio as far as it messes up the paint, long as you don't scratch through the ice and hit you paint it should be ok.

yea i used an old gift card and a spatula to remove the ice, it was easy. i pulled off sheets of ice like 4x4 square and half inch thick. i was also able to roll down my window, and smash out the ice. it was weird, i felt like i was breaking my own window!!

yea my paint is fine. no salt or anything

i dont think we really ever got "snow" just some freezing rain and lots of ice. but being in texas, and them not teaching snow/ice driving in driver's ed, we have had plenty of accidents and some fatalities. the mayor got on the news and was like, "we cant close down the city when it hits 32 degrees" but sure as hell we did. 3 freeways were closed in houston and the metro buses stopped running.

and just fyi, it snowed in houston 2 years ago at christmas, but by christmas afternoon it was 75*. that is what we are used to, some ice on the ground at 5 in the morning, by noon be up to 60*.

Austin pretty much shut down. all major flyovers closed and most businesses closed. Texans are funny when it comes to cold weather, they act like its the end of the world.

I could have sworn that my car thanked me when I woke up Wednesday morning...it was just chillin in the garage. However, it took me 30 minutes to free my pickup from the ice and ditch.

(I park my truck in my ditch...which was wet, icy and muddy from the weather, so it was a mud-dogging slush fest trying to get it out! Stupid 2WD open diff!!! My neighbor came out and said, "you need any help?" I told him no and he asks me if I've tried to back up. I said no, put it in reverse and drove right out...pesky neighbors!)

Anyhoo...after all of that, school was cancelled for the day and then I had to start working on the wife's truck to get it unfrozen so she could go to a Dr.'s appt (we are 7 months pregnant with our 3rd kiddo!). It was a cold morning. It was more slushy here than icy. Cars were iced over, but roads were like driving on a 7-11 Icey! Needed more grape flavoring though...
