Question

Bad resistor in the bulb, possibly. I had that issue when I redid my whole 1999 Honda Accord the exact same way you did. It only happened in my domelight, too. Just replace the bulb(s), it's probably nothing to do with wires. Unfortunately, those bulbs are cheaply made and there's not really any way you can get around that unless you actually want to desolder the LEDs and resistor(s) in your festoons and put in better ones.

Did the erraticness for them start all at the same time, or are they independent of each other?

Just my two cents. I could be wrong.

Thanks for the comment man, I do appreciate any feedback since I'm completely lost here.

So...its not in my dome lights (or push buttons) and its not in my headlight corners, and its not in my map light...this problem only occurs on the interior door light. All of the sudden the bulb will start to flicker (strobe). Once this occurs, I will open up the casing to notice that one of the four LED lights in the bulb itself is OUT causing it to do this. This has happened now to ALL FOUR OF MY DOORS! I don't know what to do because the festoons in the rear dome light and all the LEDs everywhere else are fine and they are all fairly new.

...gah.

This is why I recently ordered a whole set of LEDs to do the same mod, but I went with all PIAAs in hopes that I won't have the same problem. Costs a little more but way better quality. Nice upgrade by the way! Respect.

bling- having a LED out doesnt cause flickering (atleast mine didnt) could be slamming the doors caused some issue with it to go out.

Thanks, I have PIAA Plasma Ion 7500k bulbs in my fogs, I can agree they make some good shit.

Yea rich, its definitely a cheap and easy mod.

What do you mean, whats up with the passenger courtesy light?

Sorry to hear yours is out. Mines worked fine since I installed it, no problems with any light (LED) except the doors - festoons.

Which idea are you referring to? LEDs in the interior, LEDs in the headlight corners, LEDs in the trunk, LEDs in the license plate, Plasma Ions in the fogs?

If you put it that way, we were all beat to the punch a long time ago.

First of all, I never slam doors...ever. The wiring may be the issue, but I doubt it. I spoke with some mechanically and electrically inclined people and they all agree the fraying power cord to my battery (which works without problem) shows little relevance to this particular matter, however I am still unsure of the source of the problem at this time.

Each LED (festoon) has 4 lights in each bulb.

When one bulb goes out...the others will flicker (strobe).

The actual question is...

What causes the one light in the bulb to burn/go out? Why each and every door light, but all the other LEDs work great?

I hit up superbrightleds.com about it, but just got the run-around.

They should, I dunno. I asked but they said I would have to ship them back and all that and I'm like...fuck that. For the money it costs me to ship those little buggers back to them, I can just buy new ones.

Its not just a bad LED, its a BAD BATCH of LEDs..because its happened to each (30mm festoon) in every door...

The strangest part is that all the other 30mm festoons (map/dome lights) and every other LED (194s & 74s etc)..DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE.
