20x8.5 wouldn't work on my 95 legend coupe. I had to go with 20x7.5 and with 225/30/20 tires.

I highly doubt it. 8.5 should and will rub. only way to fit it would be to roll fenders. i'm running 18x7.5 right now, with 225 width tires, and i'm sitting straight flush already.

ok so they will fit but will rub? all the time or occasionally? my rims used to rub occasionally on my q45, so everyone on this forum with 20 inch rims has 20x7.5?

I have some tyfun 703 wheels. It's just a 5 spoke chrome wheel with a lip on it. I tried some 8.5" wheels before I bought these and they stuck out from the fender pretty bad.

I think offset will matter more that the width of the wheels... So let's talk about that.
