Konis & GCs going on. Input needed!!
Well, my front left strut has gone out so i decided to upgrade to koni & ground control coil-overs as well as energy bump stops. Im going to try and do this next week so i would love some input. I hope to roll out to NALM on this setup so i dont want to screw up anything. ive never done suspension before but i feel competent. I would like a 2 finger gap all aruond. i want the car level.
stuff i would like to know before installing:
How to adjust my konis?
can you adjust the konis installed?
what perch should i use?
can i go without a camber kit?
Will i have to shim the rear?
do i use the OEM dust covers?
How to even everything out?
Will i need a new alignment?
and anything else i need to know to make the job more smooth. and yes i have searched so i know the process i just need the experienced tech.

How to adjust my konis? if u want a softer ride, set it to full soft, semi sporty, med, sporty hard.
can you adjust the konis installed? no.
what perch should i use? lowest perch
can i go without a camber kit? yes
Will i have to shim the rear? no but its recommended.
do i use the OEM dust covers? if u like, i never did, no problems.
How to even everything out? measuring tape.
Will i need a new alignment? yes, after you have finished your adjustments (height and stuf). remember this is when u decided u will install any camber kits b/c its done during alignment.

so every time i want to adjust my konis i have to take everything back apart? how convenient. Also the konis have 3 perches right? it comes with the c-clamp in the middle one? is it hard to move? i need to move the c-clamp to the lowest on all 4 right?

konis, adjust once, and leave it kinda thing
its easy, just be carefull and go slow and it'll pop off. the fronts ahve only 2 settings, the rear 3 (perch wise). lowest on all 4 yes.

if you want to adjust them once i wouldnt put them on the lowest purch. i have konis now on the lowest purch in the back with SERIOUS rubbing issues now that i put the TL rims on. im raising them up this weekend. also, you will bottom out on even the slightest of speedbumps, raised driveways etc. unless you have perfect roads, i suggest a higher purch setting.

he is installing ground controls, all height adjustments in the future will be done with those. not the koni's. koni's should be at the lowest perch for ground controls. always.
edit:buttoming out with koni's? i ran mine on the lowest perch with the ground controls, never buttomed out. u need better springs dude.

Remember i dont want a slam. About a 2 finger gap all around. i want the car level. I hate that the OEM setup has its rear in the air.
wurd. i had my coupe pretty much like that with ground controls, except it was always lower in the rear. our bodys look good with the rear down low and the front a little higher, unlike oem, lol
