Factory 16" is 215/55R16

upgraded (plus size) 17" 215/45R17

Not sure off the top of my head for the 18" tire size,
but for the 17" some others have gone as far and getting a
wider track tire making it a 225/45R17.
I have 215/45R17, it handles great and never ever had problems with
rubbing or needing to avoid speed bumps. It also looks well proportioned to the car. Hopfully others with 225's or 18" wheels will chime in with thier
feedback.

Well! what about the bore size and offset value for 18" and 17" rim?
what is optimal value for these so that it doesn't rub or too close to other parts like brake caliber, shocks...etc.
I have Lorenzo LO1 18" wheel with i believe the offset is +45. Its rubbing the fender when get into the parking lot or driveway from the street.

Before I totalled my sedan. I was rollin on a set of 17's, 45 offset with 235/45/17 Bridgestone potenzas all around. The suspension was stock, so I didn't have any problems with rubbing what so ever.

235's are the way to go if you have power and need the traction.

The 215/55/16 toyo proxes I have on my GS rims now don't grip the road for shit with the mods I have.

1st gear is seriously useless right now, punch it from any rpm and all I get is wheel spin to rev limiter.
2nd gear, once it hits 4.5 rpm, wheel spin again up to 60-65 mph.
3rd hooks up, but 235's on my 17's are in store as soon as the salt is off the roads.

hi TeamLR,

what is your camber set at? did you install camber kits? how did you lower it?

i lowered my sedan with vogtland springs (~1.2" drop) on kyb gr-2 and i'm riding on 18" racing hart s15's with 215/35's and they rub on the rear shocks. i just had the car aligned too. i tried 225/40's before and they rubbed in the back, on the fender when going over bumps or with passengers in the back.

thanks!

Welcome to the forum turbo. It could be the offset of your Racing Harts. Do you know what it is? I'm also running Vogtland springs and have 2 finger gap in the rear. However, my wheels are +48 offset so they sit inside the wheel well.

So what size do we get. I wanted to go 20's but if everyone is having rubbing issues i wont. I almost ordered 20x8 konig hotswaps. 225/30/20 i also have k sport coilovers comming. Will they rub the suspension too? I just bought Labrats turbo system so i need grip rather than biggness. Can i fit 225/30/19????
