Where to buy Arospeed wheels?

So I tried some 19x7.5" Racing Hart C5 Evos in a +44 offset and it looked awful. The wheels stuck well out from the fender in front. I've seen a 19x7" +45 fit fine and the only wheels I know of that look decent in this size are the Arospeed RSGTs. Other than buying direct, are there any companies that discount these? Your help is much appreciated!

Tom

Interesting. Upon what personal experience are you basing your "made like crap" statement? I'm not going to spend $3-4k on wheels for a car that cost the same; just not going to happen. If I was OK spending that on the Legend it would already be done.

here's the problem with cheap 19's you need to use a super small tire. which WILL end up causing damage to the wheel and will effect the ride and can be dangerous.

I wasn't really looking for encouragement not to purchase the wheels and the reasoning provided is not accurate. I've been in this industry for quite a long time and while I'm glad I already know better, new people will just take this kind of advice as truth and probably spread it along. Cheap wheels are cast just as any other cast aluminum wheel, with molten aluminum poured into a mold. You can run the same width tire on an inexpensive cast wheel as you can on a high dollar forged wheel of the same width. Stretched sidewalls hurts nothing other than potential contact patch but does provide for more predictable traction breakaway. If you can't keep the car off of the curb you probably shouldn't have aftermarket wheels anyway.

There is nothing at all wrong with an inexpensively cast wheel. Knockoffs are often a bit heavier than the nicer cast wheels on the market and though they can't even compete with a forged wheel on quality, strength or weight, the price and functionality is great for many. You could definitely argue the morality of purchasing a wheel that is knocked off from a legitimate company that spent a large amount of money on R+D only to have their product inexpensively replicated and sold for a profit......

BOOOOOO

I had these "cheap" wheels on the Legend and they worked just great never had any problems with them.. I know they look nice on the Legend so I would say buy them and roll them.. I know someone who may have some they want to sell if they haven't already..

So Tom you got a Legend... , and you still have a shitty DSM... just newer..
LOL Anyways good to see you around..

Yo Jason! Only thing that ever sucked about those rims on your car was letting the ladies slam 'em into potholes, lol.

I did pick up a Legend....bought this '01 325ci I thought would be sick as a daily and it was definitely not as great a car as I had hoped...especially not for the money. So I ditched that and got two rigs and some cash back, lol. Yes I have a shitty DSM still haha. I'd be surprised if you hadn't seen my old GSX running around; I sold it to a guy who lives in Albany.

Yeah it still looks exactly as I left it. I rolled up next to him a few months ago and gave him a thumbs up. He looked at me like I was trying to steal his woman before realizing who it was. I was thinking to myself, yeah you're welcome, don't be a prick He is in the military and was making several tours through Afghanistan and Iraq. He wanted to have a pre-completed car ready for him when he got back...I don't think he'll be changing anything until we get out of the Middle East.
