Will this setup work? (wheels)

I am looking at putting some 18s on the legend.
The wheel I am looking at has the following specs:
18x7.5 5-100/11438SM
Also if I go with a 245/40 tire will it rub?
Thanx!

Also do you think a 6-spoke design will look nice on a Legend?

BTW if I do decide to go with this setup, my 17" Enkei RSVs will be up for sale.

Nope, Dino. Don't think it will work. At 7.5 width, the offset is too low (numerically). It will stick out. My rims are 17x7.5 and +48 offset and pretty near the edge. I'd say 45 offset is as low as you could go with 7.5 width.

I have 18x7.5 with a 38 offset, the 245's will rub because my 225's rubbed when I ever hit bumps with weight in car . I however rolled my fender last month & can't wait to put them back on plus I will be lowering too (when weight was in the car the tire would tuck under the rear wheel well and I like that look).

I only rubbed with a lot of wieght I was taking my mom to the airport (in NY bumpy roads) and the truck was loaded to max, plus three persons in the back. Otherwise I was fine it cleared the finders perfectly + I rolled my fenders now that = more room .... lowering soon

Thanx for the info guys!
I'll continue to shop around seeing I am in no hurry.

It looks like my insanity for deep lips won't be fulfilled on the Legend

Temptation!

I am so used to the offsets for mercedes and the Z that I tend to forget that Acura isn't soo generous.

After I traded in my 05 Z for an 06 Z, I sold my deep dish enkei wheels for deeper and wider wheels (i know it's this sickness i have) in hopes of getting the rear tires 295 if not 305 on a 10.5" width, I'll know by friday.

So I then figured, why not give the Acura a shot at going wider, I'll take it to a few shops and see what they can do.

I don't understand why people think the legend is so difficult to buy wheels for. Someone has bought everything you can think of. You've been here long enough to have seen a thousand threads about wheels.

Because our offsets suck, and I want the deepest lip I could get without rubbing so it tends to be a hassle when trying to go wide.
Just in case you don't know, I hate no lip/small lips.
Hell. if I could, I would run a staggered setup but it's pointless seeing I can't fit anything real wide in the rear.
I've tried calling a few places like DTD and Tire Rack but they tell me not to go over 8" width, so I am trying to get a second opinion from others.

Hey Kostas, maybe you could take a look at Axis wheels? They play around w/ high disc and low disc to give the staggared look with same width wheel front and rear. http://www.axiswheels.com/wheels/decade/decade.html The offset I remember from asking Axis are 18 by 8 via 40 + offset, still a little bit too low for the Legends, but rolling fenders could be the remedy. I know the design isn't too great, but maybe you could consider it.

Thanx!
Definitely something I'll keep in my mind!
Hopefully they might come out with a nicer design.
