1992 Legend L Black Sde Moldings

Hello Guys,

Does anyone know how to restore my side moldings? My 1992 legend comes with black side moldings, but they look faded and ugly; probably because the previous owner used to spray armor all on them. Whenever I'm done washing the car, the moldings look so dried up. What can I do to restore them? or to at least make them look better? Thanks Guys

I have this same problem. But a couple of companies make some stuff. Meguires has "back to black" and I have some off brand called "black chrome" but These are really temporary solutions. IMO they look worse after about 2 months. I've been wanting to get this stuff called "forever black". It's sold in BMW catalogs and over the internet. But supposedly it dyes the molding and wont fade over time.

I hav'nt seen 303 or Poorboys at the auto shop and they are $15 a bottle online. Is that how much it should cost?

Poorboys is not sold in stores. Online only though their website or a distributer.

You can check your car dealerships for Aerospace 303 if your local autopart store doesn't carry it. Its rather pricey (It's about $13 at Kragen autoparts) but it works great on almost everything.

Some Ace Hardware stores carry 303. I have an Ace card and I'm always getting coupons in the mail. I only buy it with a $5 coupon or more.

got my 303 from a Bay Marine store. If you know any place in your area where they sell RV/boat products, they should have 303 aerospace products.
