I love Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0, which is a slightly abrasive polish/wax and works wonders at taking out small swirl marks. I used Zymol Cleaner Wax (the blue stuff) a couple of times, but it doesn't compare to the NXT.
Yes, mothers is a good choice but I personally prefer Turtle Wax. It's very protective and lasts a long time.
What type do you use?
I've used Turtle Wax for many years, both paste and liquid, and while it does appear to protect well, I would not say that it really lasts a long time on the car. I find that in terms of durability, synthetic waxes are better.

I use Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax if I'm in a rush since it applies/wipes off very easily and quickly. However I've found that it doesn't layer very well for a truly deep-looking finish. If I have the time I use Meguiar's Gold Class instead. I prefer the paste to the liquid.

I don't know exactly what I have been using but I usually use paste. The liquid stuff is crap. It protects amazingly and lasts fairly long. I personally like it.

Turtle wax FTL! No shine and no protection. Either go to your local harley dealer and get some s100 wax, or find a local pbe or pep boys/oreillys and get some megs number 26. Check out autogeek.net you'll find more wax to satisfy an insatiable appetite for cleanliness.
