It's true, Turtle Wax is a pile of dog shit.

I use Tech Wax also. Sometimes I use Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. They are both good products.
< My avatar is right after some #7 polish and then Tech Wax.

Does anyone have anything good/bad to say about Liquid Lustre? It's expensive so if I was to buy some I'd get it by the case online.

I used it to take something off of my paint once. I don't know if it is a wax or not (meaning use it to wax the whole car).

On the wax subject I have meguiars gold class but I haven't used it yet.

I have used meguairs mist and wipe quick detailer and that shit is garbage. I think mothers has a good product for quick detailing but I forget what it is.

I hear mothers is a good choice
the key wax is not really what wax you use but the prep you do before hand. Clay, polish, and wax. me personally im a meguiars guy but i just received a kit from pinnacle so i guess ill be using that and reporting how i like it.

for wax i think going with nxt 2.0 is the best because it works excellent on dark colors. but like i said before prep is key. its prolly best you invest in a buffer if its in your budget.

+1 , a good clay job and polish, then wax is the best thing you can do for a 15+ year old paint job

What was your purpose for using it? Its purpose is to enhance the shine of a car that already has wax (its to touch up finger prints and remove dust) such as at a car show.

I find alot of people dislike products because the method of application is not correct, thus their end product is not what they expect.

Well there are two, meguairs quik detailer and ultimate quik detailer. Quik detailer is more for a car show when you need to wipe smudges, i found ultimate quik detailer is used after a wash and dry to extend the life of a wax (kinda like a quick wax but better.)

Ah ok, i have noticed on black cars Ultimate quik detailer will make the black darker (so if you miss a spot your car looks spotty.) But with the regular stuff it doesnt affect it.

You're right about that. If I hit my CF hood with ultimate I have to do the whole thing if it's remotely dirty or it just looks off. You can't tell there's dust on there unless you hit a little spot and then it just makes the rest of the dust stand out.
