wet sanding...
so i use 2000 then 3000 unigrit paper... just wondering if i use circular motions or lateral or verticle with the car??? any other useful advice?

I believe you use back and forth motions, not circular motions. Ive done this before (just recently got rid of some horrendous orange peel on my hood) and did back and forth. It turned out good, i just wish i had something a little higher then 2000 grit. But you can use rubbing and polishing compound dont forget (after the initial sanding)

Ya just use 2000 than 3000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Sand in a back and forth motion, for best results use a buffer after or portercable, with compound than polish.

3000 grit? are doing the whole car? if not(doing the hood only for example) that part of the car is going to be way more shinny than the rest of the car. i would say 2000 + grit is for show room quality. you may be going for that but i would be more hesitant to want to take the car out as often
