I use Mother's Back to Black exclusively for any and all dark vinyl or rubber parts, whether they are black or not. I'm also curious as to what other products ppl use.

I switch between Armoral and Meguires NEXT Generation black plastic and vinyl spray.

I think that back to black should be used mainly on the exterior trim pieces.

Back to black was created with the exterior in mind, that is one reason it's particularly effective at cleaning and moisturizing the interior. It's specifically for rubber, plastic, and vinyl, and works on dried, sun-damaged parts. They also have an interior specific spray, but I haven't tried it yet. I have had outstanding success with the Back to Black.

Don't use armorall - it dries your parts out. Ask Keith for details.

I never knew that about armoral. Well I guess I wont be using that anymore.

I know you can use Back to Black on the interior vinyl and plastic but personally I feel that it is too oily or greasy. I think it works great on the exterior.

Give Meguires NXT plastic shine a try next time around.

Yup, even the new, different formulas of Armour-All will dry out your dash & interior plastic - while I wouldn't say to never use it, I def. would not use it in hot climates, (GA., FL., etc), when your car sits out in the sun all day. I had a 77 Olds 442 back in the day, and Armour-All killed my interior, bad ! (and I lived in NY at the time).

Ting - I've been using 303 Aerospace Protectant. Here's where to get free samples ($5). $19 for two bottles on their Web site is a good deal, too. I had some in Vegas - you could have tried it out.

I just bought a bottle of Meguiar's Natural Shine (red spray bottle). Worked pretty well on a few areas that were starting to fade.

Another 303 user right here. I love the matte look it leaves behind. I hate the glossy look that most protectants leave behind.

You can get 303 through West Marine stores as well, if you have any in your local area. It's good stuff.

I've used Eagle One's Nanoprotectant on my Celica. Shined up very nice with absolutely no greasy feeling, but the effect faded pretty quickly.

I've also used Vinylex(from the makers of Lexol, so I trust it) on my G1 and G2. It does the trick very well on both interior and exterior trim. While I haven't tried anything else I'm going to say to flat-out refuse to use Armour All. I've heard so many bad stories about it it's not funny.... especially in hot climates.

I might have to try 303 out sometime, when my supply of Vinylex runs out.
