Aerials at Dusk (no 56k!)

So on the flight to New Orleans, I decided to test out my new dSLR at 30,000 feet.

I was shooting through a filthy double-paned window, without tripod or mono-pod, and the damn plane was shaking the whole time, but I really like how they all turned out anyway. These were "equalized" in CS2 to get rid of the glare.

I'll post the originals later, and if anybody wants these in high-res feel free to ask. Enjoy...

Set-up:

Canon EOS 400D Rebel XTI
18-55mm Lens
UV Filter

dude, those are some baller shots. i would have got some killer shots going to michigan, but some jackass stole my window seat and fell asleep

nice shots!! it suxed on my way to FL a few months ago, they gave me a window seat but it was over the wing

i couldn't get cool shots.

Nice job. A circular polarizer would have been a beneficial addition. Very good job under tough circumstances.

mine is always attached to both of my lenses.

My UV filter is always attached to my only lens, rarely do I go without.

I'll carry the filter pack around with me now that I have a nice new bag and all.

If you look close at that, "satellite surveillance shot":

You will see that the residents in New Orleans are still shooting at Helicopters and other flying objects!
