My Daughter, The Photographer

Well, my daughter is 2 1/2 (as of August 17th) and I stumbled across some interesting photos.

I grabbed my camera to take a few pictures for an event we were going to and decided to see what exactly was on the camera and to see how much room I had left. Well, lo and behold the camera is completely full, a 1gig card at that. flipping through the picture I question my wife why she took some of these pictures (when you see them you will understand my perplexed state), but then I come across pictures that had my wife in them so I realized who the photographer was...

The thing that really impressed me is the fact that she was able to focus directly on the toy. The fun thing is some of the angles, it really spun me for a loop to see my house from 4 ft shorter.

I think its time to get her one of those little toy digital cameras...

Awesome. Very cute. My duaghter got the Fisher Price Pink Digital camera when she turned 4. She LOVES it. The pictures are funny, but the screen is only 1 inch and I think 1 megapixel....it is a bit grainy, but she thinks its the best. She has taken lots of good pics, too bad they are not great for printing...of course I do anyways....Anything for her.

Way cute

My son loved to take pictures when he was that age, I was really surprised at how good he was. It's definitely fun to let them loose with a camera and see what you get!

my son (16 months old) is constantly playing with my cell phone and every so often i'll find a weird pic. Like my wifes feet upside down and out of focus. Hes already a ham in FRONT of the camera, I'd love to give him my old 3megapixel but he thinks its fun to throw everything right now. Camera + hardwood floors thrown at full force by toddler = broken camera.

yeah, she is already prepared for video chats, she "shows" people on the other end of the phone stuff, like her toys or points the TV. she also knows how to call her mommy's cell, my cell (w/ mommy's) and grammy's phone. I don't want to teach her 911 until shes at least 3, no need to have cops called every 10 minutes because she's bored.

that was the other thing I was thinking of giving her was a 3megapixel camera instead of our family's 5megapixel. the pink fisher price one is the other one in consideration.

she is still grasping the idea of keeping her finger away from the lens. I don't blame her, my mom who is 48 still puts her finger in front of the lens.

Very interesting, her toys are very well centered and the Elmo is at a dramatic angle. You shoudl be proud of her

It's good that it captured her curiousity. I have Third graders (8-9 year olds) always try to snatch my camera or the schools and try to take pictures, but I never imagined a 2 1/2 year old, and to take great pictures at that.
