Cover up the sun with your hand and you will see what im saying. The silhouette on the right is very strong the one ont he left is almost washed out by the amount of light the sun is giving off around his head. next time try angle it to where the sun is is really behind something and the glare from it isn't everywhere. This way you get 2 awesome silhouettes plus the definition in the rocks and the definition in the far mountains other wise Great shot

as far as candid its hard to change I would maybe get some more light on one side of his face for more definition and not just one monotone color.

If you set this up you could get a very interesting head shot maybe black and white and a strong contrast good luck on your next one

Great macro shot the black in the background totally makes the rose just POP only thing is i can tell you used a flash the rose has some harsh fill lighting that coud be softened up with a diffuser. Also since its fill lighting its hard to get shadows and definition of the individual pedals. for this try using an external light source other then the pop up flash but keep the background black

#2 Iv seen this 20000000000000 times i want to see something NEW with this badge. Different angle, some more vibrancy in that picture. Its so close to black and white i might even make it that and add some contrast so the letters POP a bit more...
