DANG!!! You all have spent some serious money on your rides. Mine is nothing compared to that but here goes:

92L Sedan:
New antenna mast $30
New Master Cylinder $60 (lifetime warranty)
New Emblems $97
Balance/alignment $110
Rear Tranny Mount $125
ABS Light $0 (Fix myself)

93LS Coupe:
New Leather $570
New Trunk Lid Tortion bars $22
(4) New Tires $500

To come: New Paint job on Coupe
New Antenna Mast on Coupe
Some front end suspension work on both if needed.

$2,500 CDN in the two weeks I have owned the car......... :)

Timing belt
Water Pump
Master Clutch Cylinder
Rear Differential seal
Mags
Sylvania bulbs......
Differential flush

And I still need to buy both snow tires and a good set of summer touring tires..............:D

Hey, it's only money. You're not driving a car..........You're driving a Legend. ;)

Swish Swish........Visa, here I come............:D

Hey Michael,

seems like you've had a similar situation as me. I've spent almost $4000 canadian in 4 months.

I need a set of snow tires soon also. What do you reccomend?
I also need summer tires next spring, I still have the stock 15's now.

Vancouver_Legend, as you are probably aware, I bought a set of 16 inch mags for the new drive. They were a great deal at $500.00 for the set of 4 but I kinda wish I had gone out and bought 17's. Oh well, what the hell, the deal is done. The price was right. The tires that were on the drive when I bought it were Canadian Tire all season radial tires........Do you beleive it. How could anyone stoop so low as to put Canadian Tire tires on a Legend. So the bottom line is I am going to put snows on the stock rims and high end Coopper Tires on the mags. I put a brand new set of high end Cooper tires on the 90 Legend and just loved them. They are their best touring tire and are fantastic in the rain and hang on to corners like you wouldn't beleive. Nice and quiet too. I was very very impressed with them. I had thought Cooper tires were kinda garbage before I put this set on. All the racers around here run them and love them. Anyway, in terms of winter snows, I am looking at a set of Blizzaks. Around here with it being so cold and icy, that soft rubber compund gripes like hell. I don't know if you would need anything so drastic in Van. You are pretty well limited to slush etc. aren't you? When it gets down to -40 here the roads are snow packed and are slick like you wouldn't beleive. Brakes are worthless at intersections and stop signs. Here, you need something that will stick to ice to bring you to a stop. You might ask Mackenzie 73 and Van Legend what they run for snows in their environment. They may be able to give you another perspective. What are you running for rims and summer tires? Always looking for ideas/suggestions. :)

thanks for the info. ^

my car has the stock 15's on it still right now (tiny, i know) and when i bought it 4 months ago it had pirelli all-seasons on the front and bf goodrinch winter tires on the back. i havent had the cash to switch them this summer since i had all of the unexpected costs with the engine.

so since winter (and snowboarding season) is coming up i'm going to get snow tires on the stock 15's. i heard the blizzaks are good also. but i'll see what i can get a nic deal on and what the techs reccomend for the weather here. Vancouver doesn'ty get too much snow except for 3 or 4 times a year. mostly rain, slush and some ice. but i'll be driving up to the mountains quite a bit so i need something that will grip in snow and ice for sure...I wouldnt want to take the risk of sliding my Legend off the road!

next spring I plan on getting 17's. I like the IS300 rims that (forget his name) has on his coupe. they look wicked. But I have 6 months to decide on those.

for now...I have to decide which winter tires to get and what the best deal I can find on them is.

as far as your canadian tire tires...man, that is sad...that the previous owner neglected their legend that bad. Its good to hear you upgraded quickly to nice Cooper tires. I havent heard much about Cooper but i'll check them out for sure in the spring.

thanks again

I spent 6 grand on my audio system
about 4 grand on repairs.
And i need new wheels and a paint job =(
Iam thinking of just buying a newer legend or a new car with nice paint so i dont have to spend the time and money repainting the legend i have now =(. But i am still very happy with my car!

:eek2: 6G's on sound equipment. WOW, Im sure it was worth it.

I plan on dropping 1700 real soon on my sound system.

You people are nut heads.

i just browsed thur and i saw the amount that you guys pay for simplist things..
Do like me _ learn the trade of a mechanic if you want to get involve with your car. So far i have pratically stripped my legend down (besides the motor) and put it back together.

The trade of a mechanic, huh! NOT for me. I'm too damn lazy when it come to getting my hands dirty.:giggle:

Hey CakeDaddy:

I can't even hammer a damn nail straight. If I were to do my own mechanical work, it would cost me double. I would have to pay someone to not only fix the original problem but rectify the screwups that I created........

I guess if you want to be nice, you can classify me as a non mechanical type person. :)

The mechanic I use won't even let me hold anything for him as he tightens bolts, removes parts etc. He says I have the kiss of death and me being near makes the job take at least twice as long. Talk about building up your self confidence eh....... :D

I am an accountant. Maybe that explains it.............. :D

Oh well, I guess I am the sort of person "mechanics" feed off of.....:D

In order to survive, and keep my baby on the road, I have to make lots and lots of money..............Thank God for taxes and tax returns.............:D
