Hella Update - FLASH!!
Get that money in folks - I'm dragging this out as long as I can with the Hella folks, and I've explained to them that payments are coming in from all around the country, via both PayPal & snail-mail, so they're being very understanding so far.
NEWS FLASH: I actually got to see my Mgr. Friend from Hella today, and there are a few things going on that could affect items like the Xenon Micro DE's; (if anyone has the time & availability to check this out, maybe any info you can get would help us understand things). First off, apparently there was a fire in one of the Hella Mfg. plants in Germany during the past week - it was in the plant that makes the ballasts for their Xenon line of Micro DE's, and a few other Hella products.
Now, since Hella has long standing contracts with Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, (and a few other add'l car manufacturers), their responsibilities to these companies comes first, before any other retail sales can even be considered! With this in mind, anyone that wants Xenon Micro DE's is going to have to wait a bit until Hella gets all their eggs into one basket & meets their commitments with those folks first! (this friend has no reason to lie to me, and I don't know him to do so, so I am going to have to take his word on this info - which is why I mentioned earlier that if someone can do a bit of research on this, it will just help us all understand how long we may have to wait).
Next, the reason we were not able to get lower prices on our GB right now is because of the value of the Euro vs. the American Dollar - which is no big secret - just open up your local newspaper and see how bad our American Dollar is right now in almost every market in the world, even the Canadian Dollar is just as strong as our dollar is - something that has not happened in over 25 years!! (remember, all Hella products are made in Germany, which is why the Euro plays such a big part in what we are paying here in the States right now)!! Brian said that if we wanted to wait for better pricing, it will happen, we just don't know how long until it is going to happen.
So for right now, that's where we stand. I am in the midst of packing all the Fogs that I picked up a few days ago, and all of them will go out first thing tomorrow - if you sent me payment, then you will have a pm tomorrow with your tracking number. If you still 'want in' on this GB, then PLEASE send your payment in as soon as you can - remember that I have to drive approx. 11 miles to pick these fogs up, so I'd prefer to wait until I have 2 or 3 payments/orders in hand, rather than make a trip there everytime I receive just one payment, (especially since gas here in GA.just hit $315. per gallon - which is unheard of for GA.!)!

(Oh yeah, almost forgot: My friend showed me another very cool Hella product today that I'd love to have in my GS - it's a wireless tire pressure monitoring system, where sensors replace your normal tire valve-stems, and transmit the tire air pressure AND temperature of each tire to a pretty cool looking receiver that gets mounted in the cabin of your car. It reports every 5 seconds, and according to Brian, it is accurate as all get-out!). But this is something we'll wait on until the Micro DE GB is completed. (If anyone is interested, that is).
