who what?! me and austin followed the leader, dasficktauf (mostly) how come we are the maniacs. I'd say the drive had moments of "spirited" driving bordering on "aggressive" but was definitely not "all out". I think its cool that some would rather "cruise" or take it "easy" just do it behind me:rofl: j/k I do like to take it slow sometimes:)

yeah i'll never drive the legend all out in the hills. EVER. i learned those hills in a rwd car.. and a small light one at that.. half the time i've driving the legend in the hills i'm bummed out on the slopomatic trans. damn i need a 6 speed.

but yeah. my cruising speed is seen as quick up there. but thats only because i've spent SO much time driving those roads.. at one point i would kill a half tank per night up on the roads we took last time. and that was in my 240sx.

my old crew disbanded when someone went off the side of tuna canyon.. no one was hurt. not even the truck.. besides some bushwhacking scratches.

That was me :wavey: ...I was once drive like a maniac many many moons ago :giggle:

Alright, I was scouting for some possible "initial" meeting location; around my neck of the woods... nothing but around the beach areas, well too crowded to accommodate us all + the local beach goers on weekend = traffic nightmare.

Although Huntington Beach Harbor is pretty slow on Sundays... as for the canyon runs, I have Modjeska and/or Santiago canyons to offer, demographics will be up shortly!

I guess these are my bid for locations?!? :squint: ...let's hear yours!

I hope I can have "mod X" done by the time this meet gos down... its gunna turn heads, for sure!!!

Just a little hint for what "mod x" might be...it has cost me about $800(not even installed yet)...and it is not a transmission swap...

Now that's a great idea Aaron :thumbsup: ...my co-worker is a driver/instructor at this particular event, he races (auto cross) his late 80's Porsche 911 Carrera.

okay guys, i was thinking july 20th or 27th for a cruise. i work saturdays this month, and next month, sundays.

but we would start at the I-15/hwy 138 junction. theres a chevron right there so you guys can top off with some nice, perty gas, then a trip up to Silverwood lake for some photo ops. (i believe there is a good spot right on the dam. ill have to do some research.)
then up 138 to crestline, i have a friend who lives there to see if she has any ideas on good places for photo ops or anything like that. then over to arrowhead or take a cruise around crestline on Lake dr. IIRC, its a 4 lane road thats pretty windy, then we can take 18 down the hill and end in san bernardino.

just a rough thing to do, waiting on a message from my in field reporter, but thoughts?

I'm cool if this one favors Austin, how many others are interested in this? probably not many socal guys at nalm so I guess its as good a time as any to be bumping this thread. so who in? what was the date again?

I'm dying over here trying to get my sedan back on the road, at least its painted finally but other issues are delaying completion.. but hey, the coupe still runs.
