Replacement Steering Wheel

I'm looking for a temporary replacement steering wheel. the original is going to go back on after some work to restore it but I don't want to leave the car without a steering wheel in the mean time.

there is a few from ebay for ~$25 but the problem is with those, I'm out $25 when I'm done.

meanwhile, autozone has steering wheels for $20 and adapter hub for $10, so $30 and I would be able to sell the wheel when I'm done since its universal.

are there any other cheap options? how difficult would it be to sell the autozone wheel after I'm done? is the hub from autozone universal or legend specific?

Grab a junk one from the junkyard.

Sans airbag, I think they are like $12 at my local yard...probably around the same price everywhere else...

the wheel was torn up so I'm getting it re-covered. its hard to find my interior, its brown, so I'm going to recover this one instead of hunting down a replacement. I'm going to see if my local leather shop might be able to do a leather wrapped wheel instead.

I meant use the junkyard one as a temp wheel while your nice one is out for work...at least you can steer :lol:

Jst use a vise grip to steer :rofl:. Hope your able to get it re-wrapped.

hahaha, sounds like something my ******* uncle would do, except he would use it permanently.

no, I understood you. I was just stating why I was trying to get it recovered and not just shop around for a permanent replacement.
