its for sale on craigs list..it does have the type 2 motor, but no heated seats or traction control.
so is it a L as the LS would have all options, it also has the gs rims
its a L and 93-95 ls legend have the gs wheels but they where on a coupe a year b4 the gs so i never figured out why they called them gs wheels lol.

it shows 125k, is there any thing I should look for other than like the temp.
more looking at the 6 speed..good or bad?
OK - I see the car you are looking at on Craigslist.

Sherwood green sixer. Driver's seat looks in remarkably good shape. Hard to tell by the two pictures exactly what the rest of the car looks like. Sure Minnesota cars have rust. That's why each time I drive mine up there I get offers at gas stations.

Car is located 190 miles from you. Worth a trip for the price is good. I'd spend most of my time in the engine bay and see what kind of maintenance records and money have been spent up there. Take it out for a drive and see how the six speed shifts. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge. Try out all of the controls. From the radio, sunroof, automatic climate control, anything that moves. Does the auto switch work on the drivers door?

Remember - there is a reason he is selling the car and it is your job to try to find that out. And why is the gas can and another can sitting by the car? Has it been sitting there for awhile without gas? Check the liquids in the engine bay.

It may be a deal. But not one if you have to put a wallet full of money into the engine bay to get it back up to enthusiast standards.

Good luck...

well about the car. First the good Most fluids are full and clean and the motor and tranny are "Legendary"...hehe sorry, yes its a true Minnesota car very little rust in rear well but a Lot around the grill and the trunk lock.
it does have traction control and auto climate control and heated seats. So LS then?

The bad
no CD player. the place where it should is like a map pocket in the trunk
no power steering fluid or belt, stopped by my cousins shop broke both the AC and Alt adjuster bolts, but no worries had them still sitting from my last engine swap added fluid all worked good till the line from the rack and pinion blew.
buy now the day is getting long so up on the hoist and Wow! I have never seen so many hose clamps and spliced hoses.. quick patch work and that's good.
no display on the bose 2100 and no code.
radiator is seeping but not leaking as of yet
temp gauge is good in town but 0 on the freeway yet it has heat
no blinker lights on the dash yet all work. did they change out the gauge cluster?
so all in all we left at 1 pm and got home at 2am
but on the bright side bought the car for 1300 and im good with that, its a driver and we will start watching for parts.
thanks for the info for what to watch for

No display on Bose 2100 radio tells me power supply is out on it and it needs to be replaced. I'm a Bose 2200 man and have working backup units but no 2100's in my garage.

CD players are easy to find and are just plug and play.

Does the antenna mast go up and down?

Sounds like you found a project car. With a hoist, and a warm garage to work in, some of the projects will be done in no time.
