I thought that this carpet was suppose to be an OEM match. No cutting necesary. My carpet was delivered yesterday with no cutouts for the center console or the seat bolts. I ordered what I thought was light tan or Ivory and received an unmatching dark tan. Did you guys get replacements for both kick panels. I thought that this carpet was suppose to be padded. This stuff looks like sub box carpet. I am pretty disappointed.

Oh man, don't make me come over and kick somone's a$$. I was told that there would be padding on it too and that it was thicker than the OEM carpet . I haven't got mine yet, but I did know that we were going to have to cut out the holes for the seats to be bolted down and the center console.

Can anyone else confirm the lack of quality?
I told all of you you would need to do some minor cutting. It is not that big of a deal. Simply lay the NEW carpet over the OLD carpet - get a pen or some chalk and mark it....cut about 2 inches smaller than than the old carpet and cut it with a carpet knife.

Simple

As for the padding - i stated that it came with padding - and for the 300ZX the padding was just as thick. I HAVE NOT taken apart my Legend to see what the OEM padding is like nor have i see for myself what the padding on the new carpet is like. If your unhappy with the new padding - double it up. Remove the old carpet, rip off the old carpet padding and lay it on the floor under the new carpet.

Again - simple! This may be SOP for this vehicle and i have done this myself for the Z car.

The carpet pile is just as nice as OEM - this i have verified having the samples here.

If anyone WANTS extra padding let me know - i can get it cheap! There are actually other products on the market available that are MUCH better than even the OEM padding!

Im looking into the kick panels as I WAS TOLD they were included. The color should be a tinge darker but not noticable when installed. Carpet fades so you may be comparing it to lighter faded out sections.

There is padding
Sub box carpet cut pile is about 1/2 as tall and is not bonded to rubber.

Please feel free to let me know of any further concerns.

I actually just went out and comapared the thickness of the new carpet and the old - it appears to MAYBE be 3 times as thick....but definatly twice as. My93 carpet is as short as peach fuzz on a babies rear compared! I will say the above thickness claims are un founded and false. That enough from me on this thread. email me at steamyz@earthlink.net or call me at 626-786-5197 if anyone has any problems.

i got mine and its not that great...just plain carpet...not to thick and no padding...also i didn't get kick panel covers...kinda disappointed as well...but i got black so my coloring was fine
It is not "plain carpet" it is pre molded. It can not come with 20 holes in it as you would never get it lined up correctly! It also should have had padding on the rear. If it did not - please let me know so i can issue you a replacement

alright guys, let not piss off another vendor. at 120 i really don't see what the fuss is about.
steamyz, is nice enough to give suggestions on fixing the problems. if the issues are just a matter of holes and thickness, get a knife and cut them out. i've seen it the carpet. it is molded and cutting the holes should not be a problem.
i missed the GB and i'm thinkin about getting it at the full price. if you guys need a tutorial, i'll post it up when i install it on another car this weekend.
