Hids In!!!!!!

Finally got my hids in today along with my newly repainted headlights, i painted in the corner reflector cause it stuck out to much and i dident like it. The kit is an autolamps 6000k H7 kit

Painting

How'd you paint it, and with what? Also...was it really necessary to take off the whole bumper?

i used body color paint i ordered from towerpaint.com, and yes u have to remove the bumper to take the headlights out

How much modification did it take to get the H7 kit to fit? And did you wire your kit so that you get your high beam to work??

ok here are some more pics,

---here is the Modded H7 bulb i took the base from the H4H bulb and used it to mount the bulb , i measured the distance from the filiment to the base on the H4H bulb then made it so the distance on the Hid bulb from the capsul to the base was the same as the H4H with the help of an orange washer seen in the pic below.

took about a day of off and on work like letting the paint dry between coats eating ect.

Don't mount your ballister by the intake. I did the same before and it did'nt hold up. I mounted both my ballisters underneath the bumper. It makes for a more cleaner install.

Avarice did you modify you 9006 HID kit to fit the JDM's? Did you also do the washers around the bulb technique?

hey avarice, where u mounted your ballast isnt it possible for water ect to get there sense its right where the bumper and the headlight comes togather??

They were heat shrinked later on and i havent had any problems

ok here are som pics of the beam , they are oviously off there is no real focus to eathier headlight. Do u think that means i need to move it out or in???
