I had a HUGE screw in my summer 17" tires, and they were getting kinda bald, so I said pass on patching them. I plan on buying new summer tires next spring.

I put my 15" stockers with Blizzaks on. It really looks bad going from 17" to 15". :(

Bring on the Snow!!!!!! :)

I know how you feel. that sad day when I switch from my 17's back to 15" snow tires is going to come in about a month for me as well.

but...on the upside....bring on the snow!! Can't wait to start boarding again :D

haha. thank God for oklahoma winters. it may get chilly...but the only time it snows is febuary (and thats a maybe)

going a full year without snow is not very uncommon here. it just gets kind of cold sometimes, but rarely snows (the real kind of snowstorm when it sticks to the ground)

With my lowered legend and my 15" winter tires it looks like I have blow out suspension or something. haha

My gf just saw that I put them on and she called them my "clown car" rims :(:giggle:

Bang&Olufsen DK:

year but thats a pain in the ass for a whole lot of reasons. you have to pay someone to switch the tires each time for you. 17" snow tires are hella expensive. and the aftermarket wheels risk getting chipped and damaged from rocks, sand and salt used on the roads in the winter.

I'd rather trash out my stock 15's and now have to worry about it. that way its also easy to swap the rims each time.

but don't worry, my car is still sittin pretty all winter ;)

Man I love Florida gets cold but never see snow!!

BRING ON THE SNOW!!!

You know what i really wish the legends had, a fold down seat to put the snowboards.

I dont wanna put the 15s on  but you can always pop off the center caps to differentiate it from grandma's legend :D Alotta guys do that, i dunno why.

HEY I JUST REMEMBERED A STORY ABOUT DRIVING IN THE SNOW!!

Me and my buddy were drivin around last winter in a snow storm. It was about 11:00 pm and there was about a foot of snow on the ground and the roads were starting to get bad. Angela was doing fine and pullin the ebrake was a lotta fun. :) So anyways, on the way home, we decide to go to see his house that he was building. It was about half finished, but my buddy said, "Tony, swing around the back and i'll show you where my room is gonna be." So i negotiated where i thought the drive way was and the Legend trudged around the house, very slowly.

I thought i was slick because I remembered where there was a huge hole in the ground for the septic tank. I carefully went around where i thought it was. No problem. *whew* This is where it gets funny. Suddenly the front end of the legend DROPS about 10 inches and the nose was pointed down!!!! I WAS LIKE OH SH*T!!! Me and my buddy started to LAUGH OUR A$$ES OFF!! The back end was up in the air, but not off the ground!!
The car was resting on the frame with the front tires completely off the ground over a 2 foot ditch.

So i started to go back and forth and turn the wheels and my buddy (of course) got out and tried to push. some guy came outside to help but "his dog was getting cold" so he went back inside, what a great help lol But we ended up having to call my dad who didn't wanna get off the couch so we called my buddy's dad who came w/ his explorer to pull us out. no damage :D and sooo funny!

Nick,

have you had any problems withyour lowered car in the snow?
I was going to lower my car but figured i'll wait until after winter so i'm not a snowplow....
Nope, I haven't had any problems. I'm riding on Konis @ stock perch and Eibach springs. If I were you, I would wait until after winter to lower the car, because what if someone slams into you and messes up your suspension, then you'll be getting new suspension anyway ;)

Hahahaha.......... I know your feeling from 17 to 15, been there before. That's why, find a beater rims, and used it in the wintertime. I still use 18" this coming winter. Will put them on maybe beginning of November. Too early for now.
