I am gonna buy another motorcycle and drive it on nice days-- i figure i will only fill my acura up maybe 3 times a month if I do that, and if i buy an older kawasaki, pay 2 or 3 g's for it, then i will make my money back in like 10 years. But i will have a bike again. That's always cool....

would an 87 octane damage my car ???
the "premium unleaded only" is killing me
vegas price is 2.25 per gallon

is there a group buy for gas ??????

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
hahaha, I just realized nobody has answered his question yet.

Running 87 Octane won't hurt anything, the car just might not run as well... I have run both 87 and 93. the only real difference is the engine seems to run smoother.

Dual knock sensors will protect you. You should be fine on regular. Just not as much power.

Blame OPEC for your high priced gas!

Their logic is "Well, since Iraq will be pumping out TONS of gas sometime soon, we better jack up the price now and make some money, because later we wont make very much!"

So using the 87 octane won't harm the engine at all right? Does it leave any excess residue in the combustion chamber?

I didn't feel like paying $2.30 for premium the other day, and just got the 87 octane. The only difference I feel is that it's not as responsive when I punch it. But once the VIS kicks in, I really can't tell. Other than that, the engine seems to run just fine. Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't harming the engine in any way.
