I was thinking that it would fit if we cut it, but there appears to be a problem with that on this intake. If you look at where the hoses attach, they seem to be right where the intake would have to be cut to make room for the TCS.
I see what you mean. I agree, the position of the hose inlets are in the wrong place for a Legend application. It definately will not work with a TCS equiped Legend since you'd end up cutting off the hose inlet.

I find it interesting that an AEM short ram (best made intake, IMO) for a Civic is $79 and Injen wants $161 for one that doesn't even look like it was originally made for the car.

Don't think they'll be selling a lot of those here. We may be lacking in aftermarket parts but we aren't stupid.

I am. I got my Prelude Injen intake for $160. I like fashion+function.

Anywho... Last year, I was planning on getting an Injen intake from a Civic, and using it in my Legend. But Legends look funny when they have their stock intake replaced, you know? There's soooo much bare, open area after the stock intake is removed and replaced with an aftermarket tube. It just doesn't look right. All the other cars that replace their intake doesn't seem to have this 'big spacey' problem like the Legend. Hence, I kept my stock intake for now. Just looks better than to have an aftermarket intake.

haha - you guys are brutal! Sorry for the delay in response, but please keep in mind that I do monitor over 30+ forums. Sometimes I cannot get to replies as quickly as I would like to.

You guys have to realize that when we engineer our intake systems, bends, piping diameter, positioning is very crucial in the design aspects to create better throttle response, airflow and mainly horsepower. So if it looks "funky" it was engineered to be that way. :)

I did not post that pic, but I will post more pics of it for you to show you better angles. :) I will generally gather all the questions and answer in one reply when time is limited. Otherwise, if I get a chance I will answer as they are asked! :D

So what was the reason again for the short ram rather than the cai? Someone said the cai made less power than the short ram?? Can you confirm this or post any dyno comparisons?
i dont know about the injen one, but on a regular intake vs cold air, the cold air showed considerable gains. talk to phil about it. we both dynoed it.

We will release what we feel is more suitable for the application. The intake is available now! In stock and ready to ship, so you can contact your local authorized Injen Dealer for retail pricing.
Have you test fitted this intake on a Legend with TCS? PICS?

I'm all for companies making new things for the Legend. I think it's great. But if you say something will fit and it doesn't what good will that do anyone?

That's what I always thought too as a general rule. The first thread about this intake said they tried a cold air and it made less power than their short ram.
First Injen thread

I was wondering what the injen rep. had to say about it or was hoping for their dyno results. I would have to agree with you, I don't recall hearing of many situations where a short ram outperforms a cold air.
