I may have an opportunity to buy back my 94 White Coupe. But, I am not sure if I should or not.

The one reason why I would, is because of the sentimental value. This was my wife's favorite car. She like it more than the 03 TL Type S. I pretty sure she was a girl racer at heart.

There are many reasons why I shouldn't, like its due for a new paint job, miles on the clock, its probably needs new leather (at least on the front drivers seat), and the last reason is, I don't have any garage space for it. I don't think it is a wise investment to paint the car and leave it outside or even if I don't paint it, it will still stay outside.

Let me know what you guys and gals think...

I'm all about sentimental value.

I bought back a 1986 Celebrity with 200k on it, 4 years later, for $150 just because I wanted to own it once more (it was my first car)! :giggle:

But yeah, assuming the person who's had it has kept up with maintenance and such, I think you should pick it back up. BTW, what's the price, and what's the miles?

Does the car still look anything like this?

Honestly, i would definetely buy it just because of the sentimental value. For the wifey? Heck yeah!!may she rest in peace. If i were you Mike, i would buy whatever is necessary to have it in good condition. Thats the only reason i still have my legend, i could go buy another legend this is the legend i've gone through ups and down with. It's my first car, I will never get rid of it. I'm almost back to OEM days, i demoded it.

I'm one of those emotional people that have a hard time letting things go.
good luck with your decision.

go for it! If it holds good memories and such why not buy her and set the cruise at 80mph...

Thanks for the replies and great input...

I won't get rid of the Tacoma, its my daily driver until I turn it over to my son.

Just to clarify, whatever needs to be done to the car is not a problem. But, don't get the wrong idea that money is no object, I just like to spend my money as wisely as I can. Every now and then I will have a brain fart and spend money that I shouldn't have. (Graeme will attest to that.) Although, I have made some wise decisons like buying the Racing Harts currently on my wife's TL Type S at Super Autobacs in Southern California for $200.00 a piece, they were on sale from $500.00 a piece.

Hass... when did you pick up the 94GS?

Sorry it took so long to reply... Here is the link to Super Autobacs in Stanton California... Its not much of a website as it doesn't appear that you can order online...

What are you looking for? I will be in Southern California on business this week, I could stop by and check it out. PM your cell phone # to me.

Yeah, grab up your old girl, you know that's like bumping into an old girlfriend when you need her most and having sparks fly, even if just for a little while (I think I'm gonna cry :bigcry: ; I told myself I wouldn't cry). Seriously though, go for it, but what anarch stated about the Silver is a good idea. I loved my old silver legend 89' coupe (I think that's one of the nicest colors for a sporty type car). If I could've found one when I was looking for my car, it would've been my first pick. You stated that it needed some paint; paint it silver. You stated that it needed new leather, change the interior to gray leather. It'll look hella good. I think I'll be more jealous about that than the NSX, you rich bastard
