When I had my 01 Accord Coupe, it wasn't exactly "punchy" off the line; Once it got going, it would haul, but I had a Jeep Wrangler take me pretty good off the line once...I can't remember the spec, but I think the 01 Accord only has something like 160 ft-pounds of torque.

I feel like my 94 Legend has a lot more pep off the line when it's warmed up than my 01 Accord or even my 04 Accord had/have. Both are rated 0-60 in 7.2 seconds.

 

I think you'll be able to take him, if you're serious about it, remove sparetires/back seat/passenger seat/ etc. etc.

And do all the legend tricks, 1 -> D3 -> D4, torque breaking...

 

Just wondering, whats torque braking?

^ i think its when your pressing the brake and accelerator at the same time, i heard it was bad too

 

accord v6 have 195 torque
anyway accord are slow an Auto stock gsr
will kill 2dr accord... i think prelude SI will do the same thing

If you get a good launch you should be able to beat a 5-speed GSR no problem too. Its all about R/T time on the street and launching the car right.

 

this may be a lil off subject but I raced my friend with his 04 accord V6 coupe, from a dead stop. from 50, from 80 and they were all dead even except the 80+ race, where I took him, hehe. I only got 200 horses compared to his 240 with vtec, go figure.

and he got his GSR last month i heard from him.

There is no way any legend in stock or with basic mods like Intake, Header, Exhaust could take out a 03-05 Accord V6 auto,manual, coupe or sedan. Just think man about a few things here....

The AUTO Accord V6 has a 5spd Auto with shorter gearing than your legend. It weighs less than your legend and makes way more HP power than your legend. The only place where you can maybe keep up is off the line with your torque and its not much of an advantage. From 0-30MPH is your best chance if that and then the accord should be showing you its taillights!

Thats pretty interesting. Most Magazine reviews have the 6-speed accord doing mid-15's. A few people on here have hit anywhere from 14.9-15.5 with intake and exhaust. A few people dyno at 200whp and a few at up to 210whp and around 190tq. Legends usually get abnormally low 1/4 mile times for their power/weight ratio. I'd chop off my balls to see an accord with just an intake run a 14.5 or trap 98mph in the 1/4 mile. If you give an example of one with stickier tires or anything else besides and intake then you should cancel your account on here.

PS: There was someone on here that pulled a 14.9 with a type1 5-speed with just a short ram intake I think.

I totally agree, I don't know what happened to him, we tried many times. He was mad. i mean seriously mad, he sold his car and bought a 4runner a couple of months later. Sad thing is that he can probably take me down now. He just really thought he would romp on me, so did I and so did everyone else. Then he came at me with the excuse that his car weighs in at 4000 lbs. I dont know about that, but after the race I just told him, "Dude, we got nice cars but they are slow." The next week he took his car to the shop cause he swore there was something wrong with it. Before we raced he was saying he could beat celica gt-s and stuff, I said me too. He laughed and thought I was joking.

 

I forgot to add a list of bolt-on/stock times for the legend. There are over 10 people with better times than the average 2004 Accord V6 6-speed (15.2-15.4). Most of them with either intake, exhaust, and/or chip. 10 more hp than a legend and a little less weight won't make up for the legend's powerband as much as you think.
