The RSX was still sold as a Honda Integra in Japan and Australia, markets where Acura did not exist.

Integra Type-R Trim is from 1996-2001 (except 1999).

So yes the 2001 Integra Type-R is the DC5 chassis.

The fourth generation Integra, produced from 2002 to 2006, was renamed the Acura RSX for the United States, Canada and Hong Kong.

bump sry for the bump.
i didnt want to start a new thread.
i been thinking about this for quite a bit now

can someone else comfirm that the RSX (dc5) existed in 2001 anywhere?

i thought only DC2 only existed in 2001 for the integra/rsx lineup and the rsx didnt comeout anywhere until 2002

and it come with all wheel drive??

If you google images "Honda Integra Type-R 2001" you'll see a LOT of pictures of the DC5 chassis Integra. This would point to DC5 being available in 2001.
Could be that in some markets, actual "2002" model year doesn't start until the actual 2002... so the late cars made in 2001 would count as a "2001" model year.

As far as the original post, I'd say that's real pricy for an Integra... be it Type-R or not.
