Sounds good

Detour on back twisties sounds good to me. I'd rather be driving than hanging out on I-44. If the Arch photoshoot doesn't happen, oh well... but we still need to decide on a meeting point somewhere around STL.... What time are we all planning on being in St. Louis again? Is it 10:00am?

Pasha.

*Sticky Please*

Once again we are back to planning of the meet. This year, Tnelson and I will be in charge for the most part. But this year, everyone will have more time to themselves, as well as guaranteed schedules for the events.

We can decide if a car show is really necessary, but I will be planning a stop in between the auto-x and dinner saturday night.

The meet will once again take place over memorial day weekend, which is May 26 through May 28th, 2006.

The events as of right now.

Everyone gets here friday afternoon-evening, check in at the hotel is 3pm. Friday night we can try to schedule around when everyone gets in, but we could meet up at a bar/grille and have a get together. I will make sure it is 18 and up (I assume everyone coming will be at least 18 years old). After that, everyone can do what they want.

Saturday, we need to be at Hallet by 7:45 AM (starting around 10am), it will take at least 30 minutes to get out there, but I will have maps printed out on the offchance all the cars do not caravan out there. It is west of Tulsa, we will be going out highway 412, which takes us directly there. The event will last until 5pm, but it is not required that we stay that long. After that, we will try to meet up at a park/whatever to take group pictures. Then back to the hotel, everyone can fend for themselves for dinner (I will be around to give recommendations and directions when needed, but most likely will be making up a document with fun/good restaurants around the city sometime between now and then. After that, we can either meet up at the hotel, or someplaces else at 10-10:30pm, the drag strip opens the gates for midnight drags around 10:30. I will be handing out maps and printed directions for this also. We will be given our own staging lanes at the strip so every half hour or so, only legends will be racing. Unless they changed their prices since last season, it is $10 per person to race, and $5 if you are spectating. ($10 per car, $5 per non racer) This event will last until 4:30-5am, but you can leave at any time. Helmets are not required unless your car runs I think an 11.5 second 1/4 mile. :giggle:

Sunday, I want all of us to get together for breakfast, checkout is 11:30 I believe, but if we all went to breakfast once you check out, then you can get on the road afterwards. Maybe we can take some more pictures before/after we eat. Once I get a better idea of how many people will be attending, I will start getting opinions for the kind of food we want, in which case I will reserve a group eating room for everyone.

I will be updating this thread frequently. As you all know, I am almost always available for contact. I ask that you do NOT pm me, because my box will fill up instantly. I set up a new email for this it's, 2006NALM@gmail.com . Not only that, but my aim sn is promodojo55.

Hotel information will be in the next post.
please refer to the Nation Meet Thread.

I think we are leaving on the 26th in the morning, if you would like to join the caravan, you can follow Swift and me from chicago, we will most likely be leaving from Highland Park, il, 60035, its right off of us41 but we will be taking i94 to i294 to i55, so you can meet us somewere along the highway, like on of the serivceplazes.

When is this meet. I dont see a date anywhere, maybe I got steviewonderitis.
As stated, it is Memorial day weekend. You should definitely go. Last year's was a blast. I am both a cheap skate and a home-body and I wouldn't miss it for the world. :giggle:

By the way, A buddy of mine owns a bar in the Waukesha called House of Guinness http://www.houseofguinness.com/ ever been there?

:werd:

I have never been to a single meet and I am really pumped to go this year - I can't wait!! I am really excited about it. Been working on the car to get it detailed and up to snuff. Still gotta get those darn OEM foglights working. After following TheGodfather's instructions to have them run independantly, they have quit working after a while and never worked since. Anyway, you really should go - I think it's going to be a lot of fun and everybody seems to be a great bunch! The more the merrier. Besides the caravan down there is going to be half the fun!

well, i'll tell you what, if you don't get ur fogs working by the time the meet comes around, remind me and i'll get them working for ya.

Thanks Alperovich, I might have to actually take you up on that offer. I haven't got them to work for almost the past two years. To give you and idea of what I've been dealing with....

Anybody else planning on doing this mod, DON'T follow theGodfather's directions! Your lights will quit working after a while.

PASHA! gf said she isn't going. Wanna room together?
That works out well; now Pasha, would you be willing to go Baymont with the opportunity to split the room or are you still pro-Tradewinds? I still need to square away my accommodations (rooming with Dave) and we should get that taken care of this week/ASAP.

i think he does mind baymont as long as he has a roomie, so let decide on which hotel, we are ALL gonna stay at! cuz i want to order my room but i would like to say were u guys are staying for as said (by me) ealier maxim chillage. also if the hotel has wifi it would help, but who needs to log onto the forum anyways since we are all gonna be there, lol.

i'll log on to make the people jealous that didn't go lol :) we would probably end up making a thread while we're there documenting what happens.. that wouldn't be a bad idea :D

Oh and I'm not going to stay at anything less than the Baymont btw. I'll wait for Pasha to confirm if he's going to room with me so i can call up and reserve a room. Is there a way we can all get rooms near/next to eachother? Like something each of us would say to the receptionist when we call so he/she knows we're all getting our own rooms but are still part of a group. maybe we can tell them that we're all part of a group and maybe they'll be nice enough to give some sort of discount? And something i need to call and find out, why on earth is it more expensive if you have a AAA membership/discount than without one?! Something they'll need to answer to. It should be the other way around

Baymont +1

So far the hotels are the DoubleTree for 89 a night plus fees and tax, or the Baymont for 55 plus fees/tax. I think there are a few including RangerJoe that were staying at the DoubleTree becuase it has covered parking and what not. I'm not too worried about covered parking. I have insurance and my car is parked outside 24/7 unless I'm at school where as i park in the parking garage.
