*Sticky Please*

Lets get this Midwest caravan off the ground. If you are in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, or see yourself coming anywhere close on your way to Tulsa, chime in so we can merge routes. Not only is traveling in numbers safer, its way more fun.

My times and routes can easily change to accommodate, this is my current plan:

-I-44 West from St. Louis to Tulsa - 6 hrs/400 miles

-Wheels up at 7am Friday morning. This is plenty early, but last year's traffic fun has me a bit paranoid - I don't want to miss dinner :yumyum:

So who's In?

5/17/06 EDIT - Current List of Midwest Caravan Participants:
-Searchin4acoupe - St. Louis, MO
-Shaar - Springfield, MO
-pasha95GS - Louisville, KY
-Sean C. - Kansas City, MO/KS Area
-92drls - Springfield, MO

5/16/06 EDIT - Updated Timing, Route & Meeting Locations:
-Due to construction in Missouri on Southbound I-44 near the 214 mile marker we are going to head West out of St. Louis on I-70, to Hwy 19 South, to Hwy F South, to Southbound I-44 all the way to Tulsa. See below for meeting times and locations:
-9 to 9:30 AM Friday morning - The St. Louis, MO area meeting place will be at the QuickTrip Gas station on the south side of I-70 at exit 219 in western St. Charles.
-1 to 1:30 PM Friday afternoon - The Springfield, MO area meeting place for a quick lunch will be at the Subway Restaurant at 2721 N. Kansas Expy (US 13) just south of I-44. See a map here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=...+Expy,+Springfield,+MO+65803&om=1&ll=37.243312,-93.288174&spn=0.058625,0.166855
-5-6 PM Friday evening - Tulsa, OK Arrival

Hey, sorry I'm late to the party. I'm leaving from Sedalia, MO this year, so I'll join the caravan in Springfield, MO. Made reservations at the Baymont so I'm ready to go!

do you live in sedalia or are you just visiting there? if you live there, you're less than 2 hours away from me! closest person i've found so far :D

Oh, and to the rest of you, theres something i'm trying to do to my car right now before the meet. I don't know if its going to go through, but i'm working on it. Nothing too big, but something my car needs before ANOTHER very close future addition. :D my lips are sealed!

PS, its nothing that big, just something i'm excited about and hopefully free... going to talk to the guy this week about getting it :D

I "officially" live in Sedalia but I'm finishing up school in Manhattan, KS right now. Actually, I'll have graduated by the time the meet rolls around :D. Then it's off to St. Louis this fall for grad school.

A few years back I was visiting Springfield and actually met up with someone from the forum. I don't remember who it was though.

Dave, did you have any luck deciding on an exact location where we should all meet in St. Charles?

Not yet. Don't worry, it's been on my mind, I just haven't decided on a place yet. It will be just off 70, as in right next to the highway. I was trying to find a "cool" spot, but a gas station parking lot is more than likely where it will be.

How about St. Charles Memorial Gardens :) Checked it out on Google Earth and looks like it has a small lake in the back too. A little morbid but it might make for some interesting pictures.... and it's right off the highway. Regardless, whatever you come up with will be just fine.

guys, as some of you may already know, i'm NOT going to be going to NLARLM this year. I broke my lower ball joint, this past week, and when that broke it broke my upper ball joint, along with my koni. So i'm not going to be able to go, which really really sux because i was really exsited to go and meet all you guys. However, i'll be investing the $$$ that i was saving for the meet into my car. So unless i can come up with more money, which i don't think is going to happen at this point, i can't go, but most likely i will involve my self in some sort of legend activity that weekend.

oh and make sure you guys take alots of pics and videos, i want to see what i missed!!! have fun and be safe...

Alex.

To all from McRae Motor Company:

We regret to inform you all, unfortunately we will not be at this years show. We have the Acura complete and it soon will be on the auction block. I hope you all have an awesome time and keep in touch with us via our website.

We are going to a complete reconstruction at this time..so you should see new content soon. Meanwhile...we had some photos taken of the car recently. Though we would share them. These are just a few...more to come.

Alex, dude sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it to NLARLM meet. I just got done replacing both the upper control arms on the front, and the inner and outer tie rods myself. That's probably one of the biggest reason why I won't be running my car at Hallet. Sure don't want to break something that far away from home. Anyway, good luck with all your repairs and enjoy yoru "legend activity" that weekend. I'll make sure to take lots of pics/vids. BTW, does this mean that whomoever was riding with you (forget who that was) won't be coming either?

later,
Pasha.

I might have 2 or 3 other people from springfield joining us on the caravan, I'll keep you guys posted once i talk to them this week more about it.
That sounds great. I'm glad we are picking up more people along the way. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good turnout.

25 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanx for your concern, yeah ben will not be going, its also part of why i can't go either, He has family things to do and will also be involved in some legend activity. hopefully by that weekend, i will have my parts car here and will be working on removing the engine out of that and taking it apart to be used to for parts for my car. I'm still disapointed that i can't go, i've been looking forward to this for a few months now, but Ben and I, will be trying to put together a Chicago Meet in june and something at the end of the summer.

I posted this in the other thread too, but if anyone has any questions they have been waiting to ask, please ask now, that way if there is a problem, we will have time to work them out before the meet is upon us.

I'd rather not be scrambling around at the last second working out issues.

It just doesn't seem that close... I'm looking forward to it. You gotta love road trips - the Legend just makes them that much sweeter!
Dave, that reminds me, did you decide on the location for where we're getting together in STL? Looks like it'll just be me since nobody from Chicago is coming down and no idea on the Indianapolis guy... Seems like we'll be picking up more than just Steve in Springfield though.
