The date has not changed. Due to track selection/cost/even out drive times I am looking at another location. This place offers a full size track and an area big enough to do drag runs, with no timing equipment for that though. Also the city is much cheaper to stay in. A smaller town will take our group as much larger, so better discounts.

This is the reason that any announcements for 2006 have not been made.

I hope its somewhere closer.....in the middle at least....not way the hell out in Texas...lol
Well that is the down fall. TX is the middle for the South of the USA. With a move to the actual center of the USA many will end up with longer drives. At the same time it should make the meet more attractive for those in NY and Washington. At least going more central should quell the complaints about the 300mile advantage the East coast had over the West in Dallas.

I agree, how about Atlanta, Lee you could set something up there couldn't you? I'm not in Atl. but many memebers are and it seems like a good east location this time instead of Texas. I would definitely make it if its over on the east coast somewhere.
If we did it in Atlanta we might as well mix the Nationals with NOPI. Then it is just one trip to Atlanta. I have thought of this, and NOPI offers assistance to clubs that set up their national meet at NOPI. The problem is that NOPI is so time consuming that we could not do any of our track stuff. Also NOPI weekend does not offer the holiday weekend that gave many the ability to make the drive.

That was an option that no one that attended last year used. It will always be an option.

John, thats what I was saying, somewhere dead in the middle of the US, not east, not west, but the middle....lucky mofo's that live in the middle....lol

EDIT: Last year was the west coast...how bout East coasts turn? lol
Last year was 300 miles to the East of the center of the USA, across the South. I have heard this complaint many times. So if you were going to say the Nationals were set for one side it was the East last year.

You are all missing one very important point. The Nationals are only about the Legends comming together and spending some time in the real world. I would drive to Alaska if that was where the meet was.
