Move the meet farther west!

I already have a 25+ hour, 1698 mile if its in ok. city any farther west i cant even think about going too

I'm in Reno. so meeting in Salt Lake is good for me. Caravans are always a blast!

I'll be coming from the PHX area as well, and it would probably be a lot easier for us to get a caravan rolling eastbound on the 40 and meet up with the SLC guys along the way than it would to go all the way to SLC to start off with them. The more the merrier, though. If nobody wants to start the drive from Phoenix, I'll go with the Salt Lake crew. Where in AZ are you? I'm moving down this weekend -- we should get a meet rolling.

Whats up,nice to see someone else on here from AZ. I live in Superior,which is 61 miles east of Phoenix. I wouldn't mind hooking up and getting a caravan going from here. I tired that already to get a meet going and noone seems to want to. Talk to you later.

OK, so who's running this thing now? I see that Lee is now out of the picture, but who is actually going to step up and own this meet? We need information about where to stay, what to bring, how we pay, etc.

I believe phil(rangerjoe) and tnelson are helping us out. They found two tracks and know the area well(if you didnt know it probably is going to be in TULSA). We will contact the local hotels and make arrangements per person or groups of persons and fend for food when we get there(dollar menu!).

It should be cool. Contact phil...you were great last year in helping out with things!

Figure we need to get a really good video setup this year to help for year 3. I know that when I was talking to Honda they said they really wouldn't get involved unless it was a couple of years into it - then they called us "grassroots" and said to contact them next year. I still have the contacts and plan on getting them involved after this years meet. I had the DFW Acura Dealers on the hook for this year, but seeing as how it's in Tulsa now, that won't do us much good and Interstate Battery was going to at least lend some banners but I don't know if they'll participate outside of the DFW metro area (they're based here).

I have names of people I spoke with at Honda in CA - the Acura people told me that North American Honda Motor Co would have final say in what they got involved in as far as sponsorship goes. Most big corporations need at least a year to put something like this on the books, that's why I think we need to get a ton of good pictures and videos so we can immediately start working on gaining sponsorship for 2007.

I agree with you 100% on the video/pics/ We need the guys to not take random footage but actuall setup certain footage also. I have some connections that i can work with on getting a high class editing program to edit it. Plus i have some good soundtracks...hehheheh

Cool, let us know about all of that Blackend, I'll post some pics of my 6 spd in about a month...getting it resprayed because of rust repair...nothing to the body though....all stock...lol
