this might be a stupid question, but

aren't you afraid of water or something getting into your intake let say if it's rain or possibly flood looking at the location of the intake ? i m not expert in this kind of thing, so don't shot me

thanks.
I will be interested once I get some money and get out of debt. I live somewhat close to you so shipping wouldnt be a problem.

Water's not really a problem. You'd have to be in a deep a** puddle to get it in your engine. If you're really worried about it, get and AEM bypass valve. Either way, this is definitely not a set back of a cold air intake.

Will it have hookups for the small hoses? if so I'm down to get one for a type1 engine.
I'm in

I've been waiting for a decent one with good tech support behind it. Give me a couple of weeks to a month and I'll be in for one. It might take that long to get something going if people don't stop whining about price and know a good thing when they see it. Come on, DV8 definately knows what he's doing. This ain't a procarparts p.o.s. I'm behind it 110%

Great thanks for the confidence!

ME? Water? NO! im not afraid.

for you i include a real K&N filter

All the hose connections dont need to be reconnected except for one.The Fast idle Valve tube that sucks air in when the car is warming up when the engine is cold, needs to be restricted to allow only little amounts of air in. what happens if this is not done is the car will hunt for an idle(rev back and fourth). The fast idle tube is normally connected in to the intake via a hose.

The optional and recommended crank case breather can use a nice breather like the blue one in the pic.

I can include the crank breather in a slim variety of colors or you can buy it at you local auto parts store-Autozone-pepboys.

I have a method to ristrict air for the fast idle valve. I used to have a bigger filter on it but that didnt work out cause it didnt seal to it. Now i have a small hose extending off the tube with clamps on the end of the hose pinching it closed enough to were it operates normally. i have a prettier version that will be included in the kit. The fast idle valve tube is located to the left/top of the crankcase breather on pic #3

I will totaly tech support anyone having trouble installing it.

ive been around all these forums since 99 so i wont be leaving anytime soon, i still have headers to get designed.

Email me if you want to buy @ [email protected]

I'd like to be included. I'll shoot you an e-mail when I get home from work.
i'm in...will it be difficult to install? and will i have to cut my front fender at all? my friend just got a CAI on his accord sedan (2001 model) and he had to cut this huge hole in the front bumper to allow cold air in....looks kinda fugly like that tho cuz you can see this big shiny pipe when you look at it head-on...ill be emailin you
Hey DV8, looks good, I'm not quite ready to buy it yet, i'm still gettin a job and everything straightened out, anyways, i have a question, where exactly is the filter? it seems like you have an open pipe behind the fog light area? maybe i just overlooked it...
i dont run a filter.

~Hybrid
wow, i never knew that...it rains too often down here, and there are too many dusty areas for me to run without a filter. Good thing you're throwing in the K&N. I like the way it looks, as soon as I'm ready for a CAI, you'll be the first to know :)
I only got two people emailing me interest, but more than 2 said they want it. so email me. lets go for 5 people

bump up

~Hybrid
is there a time deadline for this? I'm def interested, just not ready to buy it yet, gotta get many things sorted out first. Thanks for going out of your way to help us though :)
Dv8, I tried to e-mail you but it didn't work. I guess I will try again.

I am interested in primarily the CAI Extension. I already have a Short Ram + Filter coming and money paid for ($85). The one thing I'd really like is what Claus44 (I think it's him) is using, the PRM Filter. Anyone know where I can get that PRM filter at?
I am interested in your cold air intake. I have a few concerns. I am trying to find the best intake for my legend. The best would be the best performing and the best looking. I see that a few other people have posted about selling theirs or about how to make your own intake. How do these compare to yours? Also, are the optional breathers a no cost option? I would not want to have to go buy breather filters on top of a $210 intake system that doesn't include shipping. I am confused about what you are trying to show in some of the pictures. What am I supposed to see in the first and second pictures? What is the gold wire around the intake pipe in the fourth picture?
in the first pic it shows the intake with out the filter on it sticking out behind the tire in the wheel well with a little mud on it second it is looking at it from the front through the hole in the bumper ( not a good pic of it)

Just thought I'd let you know crash, that's not mud... that's melted rubber from the racetrack sputtered on there, I've seen it in person. ;) .
